<p>Overview:</p> <p>PeopleReady is seeking experienced Area Sales Managers to lead a high-performing sales team within an assigned market. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and building strong client relationships. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with proven success in B2B sales and team development, preferably within the staffing industry. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for delivering exceptional client solutions, we want to hear from you.</p> <ul> <li>Candidates must reside within one of the identified areas below and be comfortable with 60% travel. </li></ul> <p>Location: Denver, CO</p> <p>The Area Sales Manager is responsible for leading a team of local sales professionals to grow market share, deepen client relationships, and deliver staffing solutions that meet customer needs. This role is highly visible in the market, requiring strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a hands-on approach to sales execution.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Hire, retain and lead a team of local sales representatives to achieve revenue targets and quota attainment. </li><li>Drive and manage a disciplined pipeline management process. </li><li>Execute and model sales playbook and methodology. </li><li>Drive acquisition of new customers and revenue. </li><li>Actively represent PeopleReady in the market through client visits, networking events, and community engagement. </li><li>Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partnering on high-value deals and ensuring satisfaction. </li><li>Support reps in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities through prospecting and outreach. </li><li>Conduct bi-weekly funnel reviews, analyze sales metrics, and provide actionable feedback to drive results. </li><li>Partner with operations, recruitment, marketing, and sales enablement to ensure seamless service delivery. </li><li>Monitor competitor activity, customer feedback, and industry trends to inform strategy and identify growth opportunities. </li></ul> <p>Supervisory Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>This position will directly manage up to 12 individual contributor Business Development Managers responsible for driving the acquisition of new customers and facilitating the expansion of existing accounts within their local market. </li></ul> <p>Key Performance Indicators:</p> <ul> <li>New Business Revenue: Achieve monthly and quarterly targets for new client revenue. </li><li>Client Retention Rate: Maintain or improve retention of top-tier clients </li><li>Sales Rep Quota Attainment: Ensure 70%+ of team members meet or exceed individual quotas. </li><li>Pipeline Health: Maintain a minimum 3x pipeline coverage relative to monthly revenue goals. </li><li>Client Meetings: Conduct or support a minimum of 10 in-person client meetings per month. </li><li>Top Deal Engagement: Actively support top 10% of deals by value in the region. </li><li>CRM Utilization: Ensure 100% of reps log all activity and opportunities in Salesforce. </li><li>Team Development: Conduct monthly coaching sessions and quarterly performance reviews. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or related field. </li><li>5+ years history of success in sales roles, ideally with career progression, preferably B2B. </li><li>3+ years of sales leadership experience in staffing industry or similar experience. </li><li>Proven success in leading sales teams and driving market growth. </li><li>Experience coaching and developing others. </li><li>Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills. </li><li>Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions. </li><li>Proficiency with CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred). </li><li>Willingness to travel within the assigned market (approx. 60% field time). </li><li>Must reside within the assigned market </li></ul> <p>Core Competencies:</p> <ul> <li>Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute market strategies that drive growth and competitive advantage. </li><li>Leadership: Inspires and motivates teams to achieve ambitious goals while fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration. </li><li>Customer Focus: Builds strong client relationships and delivers solutions that exceed expectations. </li><li>Results Orientation: Maintains a relentless focus on achieving revenue targets and operational excellence. </li><li>Adaptability: Thrives in a dynamic environment, responding effectively to changing market conditions and priorities. </li><li>Communication: Clearly conveys ideas and expectations across all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders </li></ul> <p>Salary Range: $96,600 - $115,900 annually, depending on experience and geographic location, plus eligibility for incentive pay, subject to plan terms.</p> <p>Please note that actual compensation offered may vary based on local pay requirements and will meet or exceed state-specific minimum wage or salary thresholds.</p> <p>Benefits and Well-Being:</p> <p>We offer a competitive benefits package, including 6 paid holidays, 1 paid floating holiday and up to 20 days of Paid Time Off per year, Medical/Dental/Vision insurance, Company-matching 401(k) and Employee Stock Purchase Program, in addition to other programs and perks. Employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and/or hear for long periods of time. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds. Valid driver's license and good safety record required for driving to locations. Occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
