And will continue to work under the direction of the Manager, Workplace Security, the Workplace Security Specialist assists and protects employees and physical assets of Progressive Leasing and serves as first contact for guests and employees in the company's office.</p> <p>YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:</p> <ul> <li>Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or by vehicle </li><li>Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards </li><li>Sound alarms or call police and/or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized individuals </li><li>Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities </li><li>Excels in "Security officer" duties and is fully knowledgeable in workplace security Policies and Procedures </li><li>Helps lead team meeting </li><li>Specializes in Security systems or areas i.e., Medical Response, Security Training, Security Systems or Emergency Response Training </li><li>Assist customers, employees and visitors in a courteous and professional manner </li><li>Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitors entrances and exits </li><li>Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure that authorized removal of property is conducted within company policy </li><li>Trains new Prog security officers (between 8-16 hours) and verifies all training is completed according to the training checklist </li><li>Leads investigations of security incidents </li><li>Completes weekly security audits i.e. Monthly termination audit and monthly temp badge audits. </li><li>Conduct New Employee Orientation Security training </li><li>Conducts "Continuing Security Education" (i.e. CPR First Aid, Access Control, Camera Monitoring, Emergency response) </li><li>Helps conduct training for Prog employees (i.e. Evacuation training, Emergency Response) </li><li>Leads new hire security onboarding process i.e. uploads badge profiles, pictures, assigns clearance and prints badges. </li><li>Inventory and orders frond desk supplies </li><li>Updates companywide profile pictures </li><li>Primary backup for Mail Center. Duties include sorting all incoming mail and packages.
