Scotts/Hawthorne will consider various factors in determining the actual pay including your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location.</p> <p>What you'll do in this role:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Perform a safety check of the equipment to ensure it is safe to operate.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs daily assignments as directed by team Group Leader or Supervisor</p> </li><li> <p>Actively maintain good housekeeping standards in their assigned area</p> </li><li> <p>Safely operate a forklift to transport materials.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure stocks of needed materials are ready and available at all times.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to learn multiple pieces of automated equipment and flexibility to move to different work stations daily.</p> </li><li> <p>Effectively communicate and relay information to peers and/or supervisors concerning the performance of the production line as it pertains to the assembly, operation and performance of the line.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform various manufacturing inspection protocols to ensure plant quality standards on granular packaging products and display units.</p> </li><li> <p>Adhere to plant safety rules and programs as it pertains to self and all other associates.</p> </li></ul> <p>What you'll need to be successful:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Position entails prolonged and repetitive motion of standing, twisting, stooping, kneeling, squatting, bending, climbing, reaching overhead and arms/hands dexterity</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to drive a forklift</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to climb on and off of required equipment</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to climb multiple flights of stairs and meet man-lift requirements</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to communicate effectively</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to read and write English and/or be able to follow instructions</p> </li><li> <p>Must pass the minimum fit for duty physical (annually)</p> </li><li> <p>Willingness to work mandatory overtime including weekends and holidays.</p> </li><li> <p>Able to work in a dusty hot/cold/humid environment,</p> </li><li> <p>Able to lift 50 pounds, and be on their feet for 8-12 hours a day.</p> </li><li> <p>High School diploma or equivalent.</p> </li><li> <p>A minimum of one plus years of production plant experience is preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Basic math skills, mechanical aptitude, ability to make decisions regarding equipment adjustments to meet product specifications and quality conformity.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be a team player and promote teamwork amongst production lines, departments and shifts.</p> </li></ul> <p>Not interested in this role?
