<p>Kforce has a client that is seeking a Software Development Engineer (SDET) in Needham Heights, MA.</p> <p>As a Software Development Engineer in Test II, you will:</p> <ul> <li>Review and gain an in-depth understanding of our product requirements and software specifications </li><li>Write and review automated tests to verify and validate our connected IOT products (vacuum robots and outdoor grills) using Python, JavaScript, REST APIs and Linux shell scripts </li><li>Work directly with system architects and software developers to create testable requirements removing any ambiguity </li><li>Develop and maintain CI/CD jobs and workflows for execution of automated tests </li><li>Develop tools and utilities to extend and improve the automation test framework </li><li>Understand SQA smoke, integration, and regression test cycles to reduce repetitive or mundane manual tester tasks via automation </li><li>Help develop testing and strategies, automation </li><li>Work on site in a lab environment* Bachelor's of Science/Computer Science or relevant work experience </li><li>2+ years of software automation experience </li><li>Well versed in coding concepts, able to write idiomatic Python code and can direct others in the same </li><li>Understands Cloud Computing concepts (AWS, Ayla, Google Cloud) </li><li>Experience with app-based test development using Appium (ideally) or web-UI based testing with Selenium </li><li>Well versed in CI/CD process and using Jenkins </li><li>Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle </li><li>Experience with Defect Tracking Tools </li><li>Experience with Jira or similar and Test Case Management Tools </li><li>Attention to detail in everything you do </li><li>Comfortable expressing a point of view to challenge conventional thinking </li><li>Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment </li><li>Experience with microcontrollers such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi a plus </li></ul>
