<p>Position Title:</p> <p>Airport General Maintenance Worker III</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>As an Airport General Maintenance Worker III, you will take on a hands-on role in maintaining and repairing our airport facilities, buildings, and equipment. From interpreting blueprints and job orders to operating heavy equipment during emergencies, your days will be filled with diverse and dynamic challenges. You'll be responsible for reading and creating diagrams, operating various tools, and ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently. Additionally, you will lead and train a team of maintenance workers, ensuring safety procedures and OSHA requirements are strictly followed. With your expertise, our airport will remain a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for all travelers.</p> <p>About the Position:</p> <p>As an Airport General Maintenance Worker, you will perform skilled maintenance and repair work on airport facilities, including reading blueprints, operating tools and heavy equipment, and leading a team while ensuring strict safety and OSHA compliance. Determines necessary materials and may be required to design diagrams, sketches or drawings of work to be performed.</p> </li><li> <p>Operates various types of equipment, hand or power tools and performs those tasks which may be required to complete assigned projects, including preparation and clean up responsibilities. May operate heavy equipment as required and during emergency situations.</p> </li><li> <p>Serves as the lead worker when assigned a crew. In this capacity assists in the training of subordinates, assigning tasks and prepares daily report sheets.</p> </li><li> <p>Must know safety procedures, work hazard assessments and OSHA Requirements to the various maintenance trades and assigned tasks.</p> </li><li> <p>Inspect projects and work performed by other maintenance workers.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs other related duties as required.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Highschool diploma and six years of experience. Education and experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated knowledge of the standards, practices, materials and methods used in craft trades and knowledge of city and state codes and ordinances pertaining to the trade.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated ability to perform skilled maintenance work.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated ability to operate various hand and power tools as required for various maintenance and ability to operate heavy equipment.</p> </li><li> <p>Possession of a valid drivers' license.</p> </li></ul> <p>Desired Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Strong commercial painting background.</p> </li><li> <p>Possession of a valid Utah State Commercial Driver's License.</p> </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Moderately heavy physical activity. Required to stand, walk, or sit uncomfortably for extended periods. Exposure to disagreeable elements such as extreme weather conditions, noise, dust, fumes, etc. Required to push, pull or lift medium heavy weights.</p> </li><li> <p>Intermittent exposure to stress as a result of human behavior.</p> </li><li> <p>Manual dexterity.
