<p>Job Summary</p> <p>Make a splash with the Greenville Recreation & Parks Department! We're looking for enthusiastic Swim Instructors to join our team at the Greenville Aquatics and Fitness Center (which operates year-round) and the Greenville Outdoor Aquatic Center (which operates seasonally from Memorial Day through Labor Day)</p> <p>As a Swim Instructor, you'll help participants of all ages and skill levels build confidence in the water through group lessons, private instruction, and swim team activities. You'll bring your passion for teaching to each session-preparing fun, effective classes, tracking progress, celebrating swimmer achievements, and supporting the overall success of our aquatic programs.</p> <p>If you're passionate about teaching, safety-focused, and excited about making a difference in your community, we'd love to have you on our team!</p> <p>Minimum Age: 16 years old, at the time of application</p> <p>Pay Rate:$14.75 an hour</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Excellent customer service and communication skills required; </li><li>Water Safety Instructor OR 2 years of experience teaching swim lessons; </li><li>Lifeguard/CPR/First Aid/AED certifications are preferred or must be obtained within 90 days of hire. </li></ul> <p>This is a continuous recruitment and may close at any time</p> <p>Examples of Duties</p> <ul> <li>Prepare for classes of all ages and skill levels; </li><li>Instructor water classes through group lessons, private instruction, and swim team activities; </li><li>Provide water safety education to participants; </li><li>Distribute swimmer achievement materials and supporting aquatic programs; </li><li>Enforce facility and pool rules and regulations; </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned </li></ul>
