Review, assigns, prepares and tracks billing correspondence assignments. This position will directly supervise 3 full time employees (Senior clerks). This position spends the majority of the time engaged in supervisory responsibilities. This includes communicating with, motivating, training, and evaluating employees in addition to planning and directing employees' work. The incumbent has the authority to hire, transfer, suspend, lay off, recall, promote, discharge, assign, reward, or discipline subordinate employees or effectively recommend such action. The incumbent will also be required to develop performance expectations, meet with staff regularly to discuss performance, complete performance reviews, maintain vacation and work schedules, ensuring proper coverage, and complete timesheets.</p> <p>Establishes effective training methods as necessary and meets regularly with employees to ensure the established criteria are met.</p> <p>Works with Assistant Director and Nursing Director to analyze operating practices and procedures to create new or to revise existing methods in the clerical area. Studies management methods to improve workflow, simplify reporting procedures, or implement cost reductions in the clerical area.</p> <p>Acts as billing administrator and assumes responsibility of all billing and accounts receivable functions. Responsible for overseeing the accuracy of all billing, reviews billing and service reports for compliance of billing hierarchy, service providers, billing providers and proper use of sub codes for accurate revenue coding. Responsible to electronic billing records and ensures that corrections are made and claims are resubmitted for payment. Responsible for provider enrollment of physicians to various groups for all third party billing. Prepares and maintains records and reports, such as recommendations for solutions of clerical problems, report applications and clerical orders.</p> <p>Assists the business office and clinical programs to analyze operating practices and procedures to create/revise existing methods to improve processes. Studies administrative and clinical methods to improve workflow and simplify reporting procedures or implement cost reductions. Interprets administrative and operating policies and procedures.</p> <p>Maintains clinical licensure for AHCA and 340B for pharmacy registration. Ensures Medicaid Provider renewal is complete/updated as required.</p> <p>Monitors Health Management System for accuracy, integrity and system performance. Assists staff with coding, laboratory and billing issues to improve accuracy and functionality. Responsible for training staff in eligibility for client services.</p> <p>Responsible for training her staff in Health Management System (HMS) including client registration, scheduling and billing. Ensures demographic and financial information is recorded in HMS. Reviews end of day reports to ensure the collection of fees is accurate and investigates discrepancies. Responsible for duplicate client resolutions. Works with medical and clerical staff on matters regarding administrative aspects of Medical Records. Ensures proper documentation is collected and filed properly in medical records. Directs all aspects of Medical Records including securing, processing, preserving, retrieving and destruction of inactive records. Gives direction on coding, classification and filing of records. Processes subpoenas regarding client medical information following related policy and procedures. Acts as administrator for PEPW program. Ensures security training is provided annually to all staff who access these applications. Responsible for FP Waiver Eligibility Program. Ensures annual required training is documented. Ensures compliance with Family Planning eligibility guidelines and maintains record of staff training. Serves as administrator for FLMMIS and Availability. Trains staff for proper use to accurately determine eligibility for Medicaid and other third party insurance. Determines the need for purchasing of supplies and equipment for clerical department. Oversees department inventory to ensure of adequate supplies.
