Provides individualized care plan for patient presentation. Acts as a clinical resource for students, those being oriented and volunteers.</p> <p>Job Requirements:</p> <p>Education and Work Experience:</p> <ul> <li>High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred </li></ul> <p>Licenses/Certifications:</p> <ul> <li>Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Certification: Required </li><li>Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required </li><li>Valid Driver's License (DL) and must be at least 21 years of age or older: Required in CA </li><li>Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or National Emergency Medical Tech (NEMT): Required </li></ul> <p>Facility Specific License/Certifications:</p> <ul> <li>Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS): Required </li></ul> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Provides individualized care plan for patient presentation within the EMT scope of practice. </li><li>Collects, records and communicates basic patient data, current and changing status as needed. </li><li>Cleans, inspects, assembles and sterilizes trays and equipment in accordance with established departmental procedures. </li><li>Takes immediate and appropriate action upon occurrence of emergency situation within job description and policies. </li><li>Participates in continuing/advanced education which demonstrates employee commitment to improving capabilities. </li><li>Performs other job-related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Organizational Requirements:</p> <p>Adventist Health is committed to the safety and wellbeing of our associates and patients.
