Grey Junior High School</p> <p>Date Available:</p> <p>08/25/2025</p> <p>Closing Date:</p> <p>until filled</p> <p>  Additional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>Special Education Teacher - RJ Grey Junior High School</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>The Acton-Boxborough Regional School District, a Prek-12 district, is seeking a skilled and experienced special education teacher to support students in our Connections Program.</p> <p>Special Education teacher in our Connections Program support students with autism. The teacher will provide small group and individual instruction within the program, as well as in-class instruction per student IEP's. Experience with Social Thinking, Zones of Regulations and positive behavioral supports is highly preferred.</p> <p>All Special Education teachers consult with general education teachers, as well as related service providers and families on a regular basis.</p> <p>Key Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Plan effective specialized instruction and intervention for students on IEPs within and outside the general education classroom; </li><li>Administer formal diagnostic assessments and tests for students initially referred and for three-year reevaluations of caseload students; </li><li>Administer ongoing progress monitoring, strategic monitoring and benchmark systems; </li><li>Schedule, prepare for, and chair Team meetings for caseload students; </li><li>Write comprehensive progress reports and IEPs </li><li>Collaborate with general education and related service staff with respect to appropriate services, accommodations and modifications; </li><li>Provide ongoing positive communication with parents; </li><li>Collect and analyze student data against IEP goals </li><li>Supervise and plan for educational assistants to support students throughout the day </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree preferred; </li><li>Must have a Massachusetts licensure in Moderate Special Needs through the Department of Elementary & Secondary Education; </li><li>Must have demonstrated success with and be knowledgeable about current research-based interventions for children with disabilities; </li><li>Must possess demonstrated ability to develop positive behavior intervention plans; </li><li>Experience/training in language-based instruction/dyslexia including Wilson, O-G, Brain Frames, EmPOWER Writing, highly desirable; </li><li>Experience with the administration and interpretation of a wide range of formal and informal diagnostic assessment and evaluation tools; </li><li>Excellent writing and communication skills required </li></ul> <p>Apply online</p> <p>You can watch our educators talk about working at Acton-Boxborough here: https://youtu.be/TenOhRXzESE</p> <p>You can learn more working at Acton-Boxborough here: https://sites.google.com/abschools.org/joinactonboxborough/home</p> <p>We believe that our students deserve to learn from educators who reflect their backgrounds and life experiences, and we want our staff to reflect the wide range of student identities we seek to serve.
