<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Position: HVAC Technician</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>Repair, adjust, maintain and replace components of the entire heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems as needed. Collaborate with outside utilities and Honeywell on heating, A/C and ventilation.</p> <p>Core Competencies</p> <ul> <li>Follows all policies and procedures set forth by the organization and outlined in New Bridge on the Charles' policy manuals and the employee handbook. </li><li>Maintains confidentiality of resident and household information. </li><li>Meets all requirements as outlined by regulatory and licensure standards. </li></ul> <p>Position Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Respond to emergency calls</p> </li><li> <p>Work from telephone maintenance requests and verbal and written work orders</p> </li><li> <p>Perform visual inspections for the detection of abnormal operation and correction of deficiencies</p> </li><li> <p>Repair or replace defective heating, ventilation and A/C equipment including but not limited to:</p> </li><li> <p>Natural Gas</p> </li><li> <p>Medical gases, e.g., oxygen, air and vacuum</p> </li><li> <p>Heating systems including traps, valves, controls, piping and various types of heating equipment</p> </li><li> <p>A/C systems</p> </li><li> <p>Outside utilities (on premises) sewer and storm drains, gas, water</p> </li><li> <p>Various pumps</p> </li><li> <p>Hot and cold water tanks and systems</p> </li><li> <p>Drain cleaning</p> </li><li> <p>Piping for machinery</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain an ongoing preventive maintenance program throughout the facility complex</p> </li><li> <p>Keep a clean, safe work area</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain an inventory and order stock as approved by the Chief Engineer</p> </li><li> <p>Design and install various new work and remodeling projects</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate various functions of outside vendors and contractors</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate shutdown of the various heating, ventilation and A/C systems with all necessary staff</p> </li><li> <p>Work according to codes</p> </li><li> <p>Conserve resources and material</p> </li><li> <p>Work within OSHA Safety Standards, and report any violations to supervisor.</p> </li><li> <p>Identifies and reports basic safety issues or problems (ex. Spills) and takes action whenever appropriate.</p> </li><li> <p>Identifies and reports errors/potential errors according to policy.</p> </li><li> <p>Uses equipment as trained and according to organizational policy.</p> </li><li> <p>Promotes the health and safety of all by following established infection control procedures (i.e., hand washing, use of personal protective equipment).</p> </li><li> <p>Notify supervisor of any problems or delays in projects.</p> </li><li> <p>Report defective materials, faulty operation of equipment and unusual matters to Supervisor and appropriate personnel.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in all other areas as needed</p> </li><li> <p>Subject to being called in for emergencies</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain a professional appearance at all times</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma </li><li>Trade School </li><li>Five years HVAC service and installation experience </li><li>Licensure/Board Certification </li><li>Refrigeration License </li><li>Refrigerant Usage Certification </li><li>Computer experience with Windows, Word, Excel, and databases a plus but not required. </li><li>Familiarity with Honeywell XL 5000 controls a plus </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to lift, pull, and pushing 50 (fifty) pounds. </li><li>See attached Physical Requirement located in Occupational Health </li></ul> <p>Remote Type</p> <p>On-site</p> <p>Hebrew SeniorLife is an equal opportunity employer.
