Baltimore Street?\nBaltimore, MD 21201\n\n\n\nHybrid schedule available (2\ntelework days permitted each week)\n</p> <p>POSITION DUTIES</p> <p>The Coordinator, Office of Student Support and Federal Programs is responsible for providing evidence- and outcomes-based support to the central administration and coordination of Title I, Part A - Supporting Basic Programs Operated by Local Education Agencies - at the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE). The Coordinator provides customer service and assistance in the development and implementation of a state-wide system of support to local education agencies (LEAs) and private agencies to ensure that economically disadvantaged students receive a fair, equitable, and high-quality education. Specifically, this position will support LEAs in operationalizing and deploying comprehensive policies and practices that provide high-quality instruction, support, and services to students to accelerate learning, especially for those who have been historically underserved to ensure success for every student; and in support of the MSDE's implementation of the multiyear strategic plan and the Blueprint for Maryland's Future.\n\n\nDuties include:??\n\n\n Researches and compiles best practices for the successful implementation of the Title I, Part A Program.??\n Conducts and documents mandatory LEA visits for specific purposes.??\n Secures resources or support for the LEA Title I Coordinators and other LEA partners.??\n Ensures that LEAs maintain programmatic and fiscal compliance with funds spent on improving the Title I Program.??\n Assists with planning the Title I Administrative Meetings, conferences, institutes, regional trainings, and other branch meetings and professional development.??\n Assists in the development and review of guidelines, regulations, and information publications.??\n Writes reports and position papers related to comprehensive planning, evidence-based school improvement, and Title I.\n\n\n</p> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Education: A\nMaster's degree or the equivalent of 36 credit hours of post-baccalaureate\ncourse work from an accredited college or university.\n\n\nExperience:?Five\nyears of administrative or teaching experience in, or affiliated with, an\neducation program; including two years of experience in coordinating or\nadministering an education program and/or Federal or State grant at the local\neducation agency (LEA) central office or State Agency level.?\n\n\n\nNotes:?\n1. Candidates may substitute a\nBachelor's Degree with 7 years of the specified content experience to satisfy\nthe Minimum Qualifications noted above.?\n2. Candidates may substitute the\npossession of a Doctorate degree at an accredited college or university in a\nfield related to the position for one year of the required experience.?\n3. The required field of\neducation and experience are unique for each option and are established by MSDE\nin accordance with Education Article, Section 2-104 of the Annotated Code\nof?Maryland. The specific education and experience qualifications\nfor each position are on record in the Human Resources Branch.?\n4.
