<p>Job Description:</p> <p>STEAM & Technology Teacher</p> <p>Vision Academy Charter School of Excellence (K-6)</p> <p>Sharon Hill, Pennsylvania</p> <p>About Vision Academy Charter School of Excellence</p> <p>Vision Academy Charter School of Excellence is a growing public charter school committed to academic excellence, character development, and innovation. Our mission is to prepare students in Kindergarten through 6th grade to become responsible, articulate scholars and global citizens through a rigorous curriculum and meaningful integration of technology.</p> <p>We are seeking a passionate, creative, and student-centered STEAM & Technology Teacher to inspire students through hands-on learning experiences that integrate Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics.</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>The STEAM & Technology Teacher will provide engaging instruction that promotes creativity, innovation, collaboration, digital literacy, and critical thinking. The ideal candidate will create a classroom environment where students actively explore technology, coding, engineering design, digital citizenship, and project-based learning.</p> <p>This position serves students in Kindergarten through 6th grade and collaborates closely with classroom teachers and school leadership to support interdisciplinary learning experiences across all grade levels.</p> <p>Essential Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Plan and deliver engaging STEAM and technology lessons aligned with Pennsylvania academic standards. </li><li>Teach foundational technology skills including keyboarding, coding, digital literacy, internet safety, and responsible technology use. </li><li>Facilitate hands-on STEM/STEAM projects that encourage creativity, innovation, collaboration, and problem-solving. </li><li>Implement project-based learning activities that integrate science, engineering, technology, and art concepts. </li><li>Introduce students to coding, robotics, engineering design, and age-appropriate technology applications. </li><li>Utilize educational technology platforms, interactive tools, and digital resources to enhance instruction and student engagement. </li><li>Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including students with IEPs and English Learners. </li><li>Create a structured, engaging, and positive classroom environment aligned with PBIS expectations. </li><li>Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records of student achievement and participation. </li><li>Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and classroom activities through ClassDojo, email, conferences, and phone communication. </li><li>Collaborate with classroom teachers and administration to support school-wide initiatives and cross-curricular integration. </li><li>Participate in professional development, staff meetings, committees, and school events. </li><li>Support extracurricular opportunities such as coding clubs, robotics activities, STEAM nights, science fairs, or technology showcases as needed. </li><li>Maintain classroom technology, materials, and equipment in an organized and safe learning environment. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Education, Technology Education, STEM Education, or a related field required. </li><li>Valid Pennsylvania teaching certification preferred. </li><li>Experience teaching elementary or middle school students preferred. </li><li>Strong knowledge of educational technology tools and digital learning platforms. </li><li>Ability to create engaging, student-centered learning experiences. </li><li>Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills. </li><li>Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff. </li><li>Passion for innovation, creativity, and technology integration in education. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience with coding platforms such as Scratch, Code.org, or similar programs. </li><li>Experience with robotics, makerspace activities, or engineering-based learning. </li><li>Familiarity with Google Workspace for Education and Chromebook environments. </li><li>Experience implementing project-based learning and STEAM initiatives. </li><li>Ability to integrate creativity, design thinking, and collaborative learning into instruction. </li></ul> <p>Employment Information</p> <ul> <li>Full-Time Position </li><li>School Year Position </li><li>Competitive Salary and Benefits </li><li>Supportive School Environment </li><li>Professional Development Opportunities </li></ul> <p>How to Apply</p> <p>Interested candidates should submit:</p> <ul> <li>Resume </li><li>Cover Letter </li><li>Teaching Certification (if applicable) </li><li>Clearances and supporting documents </li></ul> <p>Vision Academy Charter School of Excellence is committed to creating an inclusive environment that supports the academic and social growth of all students.</p>
