<p>The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics at Pittsburg State University is accepting applications for the position of Dance Team Sponsor.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>The Dance Team Sponsor directs, plans and manages the operation of the dance program including coaching and training, recruiting, scheduling, budgeting, public relations, fundraising and promotion while also supporting a culture that offers a positive student-athlete experience.</p> <ul> <li>Manage all aspects of the dance team and its squad members. </li><li>Monitor the academic performance of squad members. </li><li>Monitor the mental and physical health of squad members. </li><li>Develop training programs for team and individual squad members. </li><li>Coordinate team travel arrangements and logistics. </li><li>Manage budget operations for the program and fundraise as necessary. </li><li>Initiate, coordinate, and participate in fundraising and community engagement activities. </li><li>Communicate as necessary with Sports Medicine staff regarding the health and injury status of student-athletes to help make better decisions regarding their training. </li><li>Attend dance events.
