<p>Position</p> <p>As a Scientist II, Research Biology (Oncology) at Eikon you will be an essential part of an interdisciplinary team of highly creative and talented individuals with outstanding expertise in the Company's core platform technologies and drug discovery processes. You will play a key role in contributing to Eikon's pipeline and executing impactful biology studies for multiple drug discovery programs with a focus in oncology. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy pushing the edge of what is possible.</p> <p>What you'll do</p> <ul> <li>Regularly culture various mammalian cell lines and generate important reporter or mutant cell lines to facilitate drug discovery effort. </li><li>Independently develop, optimize, and execute various cell-based experiments for target validation, screening campaigns, and compounds MoA to support drug discovery programs. </li><li>Keep detailed and organized records of experimental protocols and results. </li><li>Collaborate and communicate across a diverse interdisciplinary research team. </li><li>Contribute to multiple projects simultaneously and manage diverse team interactions. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Ph.D. plus 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's plus 12 years of relevant experience; or Bachelor's plus 14 years of relevant experience </li><li>Proficient in mammalian cell culture, cellular assays, and molecular biology, e.g., transfection, DNA and RNA extraction, PCR, RT-qPCR, gene knockdown or knockout, Western Blot, </li><li>Capacity for quantitative and/or statistical analysis using common software tools (e.g., GraphPad Prism, Microsoft Office Suite, etc.). </li><li>The ability to communicate clearly and build open collaborative relationships is essential. </li><li>Experience working with fluorescence imaging, luciferase reporter assay, cell viability assay for single-compound treatment or drug combinations, flow cytometry with or without automation and other high-throughput tools and instrumentation are all highly preferred. </li><li>Experience in oncology is desirable. </li><li>Experience in discovering, validating, and/or characterizing drug targets through genetic and/or pharmacological approaches is desirable. </li></ul> <p>At Eikon, employee compensation also includes bonus and equity compensation, in addition to several generous benefit programs, including:</p> <ul> <li>401k plan with company matching </li><li>Medical (premiums covered by Eikon at 95%), dental and vision insurance (premiums covered by Eikon at 100%) </li><li>Mental health and wellness benefits </li><li>Weeklong summer and winter holiday shutdowns </li><li>Generous paid time off and holiday policies </li><li>Life/AD&D Insurance (premiums covered by Eikon at 100%) and optional supplemental employee-paid life/AD&D policies </li><li>Enhanced parental leave benefit </li><li>Daily subsidized lunch program when on-site </li></ul> <p>The expected salary range for this role is $133,000 to $145,350 depending on skills, competency, and the market demand for your expertise.</p>
