<p>Maintenance Supervisor - The Salvation Army</p> <p>About Us</p> <p>The Salvation Army is an international movement and an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Our mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and meet human needs in His name without discrimination.</p> <p>Job Overview</p> <p>Join our team in "Doing the Most Good" as a Maintenance Supervisor at our Adult Rehabilitation Center. We're seeking an experienced and skilled supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our maintenance department. This role is crucial in evaluating systems, determining maintenance needs, and planning work assignments to ensure our facilities run smoothly and efficiently.</p> <p>Pay Rate: $18-20/Hour</p> <p>Status: Full Time, 40 Hours per Week</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Maintenance Operations</p> <ul> <li>Facilitate or perform maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and painting systems </li><li>Establish and maintain preventive maintenance programs </li><li>Initiate and manage work order system to track completion and quality </li><li>Estimate labor, materials, and costs for all work orders </li><li>Keep necessary records including maintenance log, mileage log, and OSHA log </li><li>Ensure all work meets quality standards and compliance requirements </li></ul> <p>Team Leadership</p> <ul> <li>Supervise and train maintenance workers </li><li>Provide training and mentoring to promote success </li><li>Maintain a safe working environment </li><li>Ensure proper use of PPE including gloves, masks, and back guards </li></ul> <p>Project Management</p> <ul> <li>Assess building systems to plan work assignments </li><li>Create and manage project schedules </li><li>Determine maintenance and repair priorities </li><li>Coordinate with other departments for minimal disruption </li><li>Available for flexible schedule including early/late shifts and some weekends </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education & Experience</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent required </li><li>Three years of maintenance experience </li><li>Extensive knowledge of building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC) </li></ul> <p>Skills & Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills </li><li>Strong management and supervisory capabilities </li><li>Ability to identify issues and determine necessary repairs </li><li>Proficient in planning maintenance schedules </li><li>Basic computer skills including MS Office Suite </li><li>Strong communication skills in English </li><li>Excellent manual dexterity </li><li>Basic math skills </li></ul> <p>Required Certifications</p> <ul> <li>Must maintain valid driver's license </li><li>Must qualify to drive TSA vehicles </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Regularly required to stand, use hands, handle, feel, hear, and talk </li><li>Frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms </li><li>Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch </li><li>Must regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds </li><li>Occasionally lift/move up to 100 pounds </li><li>Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and focus adjustment </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <ul> <li>Typical store/warehouse environment </li><li>Quiet to moderate noise level </li><li>May be dusty with temperature fluctuations </li><li>May require working in various weather conditions </li></ul> <p>What We Offer</p> <ul> <li>Opportunity to make a positive impact in your community </li><li>Professional development opportunities </li><li>Supportive work environment </li><li>Comprehensive benefits package </li></ul> <p>The Salvation Army is an equal opportunity employer.
