From earthquake and seismic engineering to the latest trenchless technology methods, Kleinfelder's Geotechnical</p> <p>Services support the planning, engineering, and construction of complex projects, and our specialists are leading experts in their fields.</p> <p>Step into Your New Role</p> <p>Kleinfelder is currently seeking a Staff Geotechnical Professional to join our team in either Raleigh, Greensboro or Charlotte!</p> <p>The right candidate for this opportunity will be self-motivated and have 4-6 years of geotechnical engineering or geology experience.</p> <p>In this position you will assist the Project Engineers/Project Managers and participate in execution of field investigation and potential</p> <p>construction oversight. This position will also assist with review and compilation of geotechnical laboratory and field-testing results,</p> <p>perform geotechnical analyses and report writing.</p> <p>The responsibilities of the position include, but not limited to the following:</p> <ul> <li>Assist the Project Engineers/Project Managers and participate in field assignments including boring layout and utility clearance, </li><li>coordination with drilling contractors, supervision of drilling and geotechnical field investigations, logging of borings and test pits. </li><li>Assist with lab testing assignment, compilation of lab and field testing results. </li><li>Perform geotechnical engineering analysis under supervision including soil/rock classification, slope stability analysis, earth </li><li>retention systems, shallow and deep foundation design, settlement, ground improvement, and geologic hazard evaluation. </li><li>Assist the Project Engineers/Managers and prepare geotechnical reports. </li></ul> <p>The ideal candidate will have:</p> <ul> <li>Positive work attitude and ability to work safely and efficiently when managing multiple tasks </li><li>Ability to work independently or with a team in a multi-disciplinary environment </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills </li><li>Intermediate knowledge of MS Office, Including Word, Excel, and Power Point preferred </li><li>An ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers, supervisors, clients, and subcontractors </li><li>This position will require 60% to 70% travel </li></ul> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geological, or Mining Engineering, or Geology. </li><li>MS Geotechnical Engineering/Geology is a plus </li></ul> <p>This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a variety of energy, commercial, transportation infrastructure, and construction projects.
