<p>Overview</p> <p>We are seeking an Outpatient Registration?Scheduler, also referred to as a Hospital Admitting Clerk or Admitting Scheduler, in our Admitting/Registration Department. As an Outpatient Registration Scheduler, you routinely schedule tests/procedures for all patients where services occur as a scheduled event. Lab, Cardiac Cath Lab, Radiology, Respiratory Therapy, Nutritional Services, Infusion units or any other location where scheduling of a test or procedure may occur </li><li>Greet and register patients upon arrival, collect and verify personal, medical, and insurance information for accurate hospital records, and obtain necessary signatures on consent forms, privacy notices, and billing authorizations </li><li>Ensure that accurate, complete and thorough patient demographics are entered into the computer system, including insurance and authorizations, if applicable </li><li>Notify departments as necessary of various services that may require, equipment, instrumentation and supplies from outside vendors for scheduled surgeries </li><li>Prepare and distribute the surgical schedule and on call list to appropriate departments or personnel </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. Previous experience in a Medical Care Setting. 2. Knowledge of Medical Terminology. 3. Strong clerical and computer skills. 4. Command of the English language. 5. Strong interpersonal skills. 6. Previous experience in the OR preferred. 7.
