<p>Accounting and Payroll Specialist JobID: 8202</p> <p>Position Type:</p> <p>Support Staff/Finance</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>8/8/2025</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Educational Service Center</p> <p>Additional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>Please see the attached job description for more information.</p> <p>Accounting & Payroll Specialist</p> <p>Full-time</p> <p>7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (includes a 1 hour unpaid lunch break)</p> <p>260 Day, Year-Round</p> <p>$21.80 - $26.18 per hour (based on experience)</p> <p>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE</p> <ul> <li>Required: Associates degree in accounting or business. </li><li>Required: Intermediate experience using Microsoft Excel. </li><li>Preferred: 3-5 years experience processing payroll. </li><li>Preferred: Beginning to intermediate understanding of payroll law. </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>Analyze general ledger accounts.</p> <ul> <li>Periodic review of coding for staff allocations </li><li>Assist in maintaining, monitoring and calculating employee payroll. </li><li>Process timesheets and enter data into the payroll system as required. </li><li>Provide training to employees on payroll services. </li><li>Process garnishments. </li><li>Process New Hire forms. </li><li>Periodic review of absence management coding. </li><li>Complete and maintain federal, state and district reports, i.e., IPERS, unemployment, etc. </li><li>Reconcile insurance benefits and substitute invoices. </li><li>Monthly special education billings. </li><li>Weekly review of vouchers. </li><li>Expenditure and payroll reporting. </li></ul> <p>This position is open until filled, please APPLY as soon as possible at www.cb-schools.org/careers.</p> <p>Questions?
