<p>Job Title: Student Ambassador Work Study</p> <p>Location: Ellsworth Community College, Iowa Falls, IA</p> <p>Department: Admissions</p> <p>Reports to: Associate Dean of Enrollment</p> <p>Semester: Fall 2025</p> <p>Number of Openings: 5</p> <p>Rate of Pay: $9.00 per hour</p> <p>Summary: The Student Ambassador position supports the Admissions Office by helping create a welcoming and informative experience for prospective students and their families. Ambassadors serve as enthusiastic representatives of the college, leading campus tours, sharing their personal experiences, and assisting with group visit days and special events such as Panther Preview Days and group visits. In addition to their tour responsibilities, Student Ambassadors assist with general office duties like preparing mailings, assembling materials, and helping staff prepare for recruitment events and admissions-related activities. They may also help with outreach efforts, such as sending follow-up messages to prospective students after campus visits.. Ambassadors are expected to represent the college in a positive and professional manner while supporting the overall goals of the Admissions Office.</p> <p>Essential Job Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Greets everyone who comes up the GSC stairs with great customer service skills. </li><li>Gives campus tours to prospective students and parents. </li><li>Helps with Panther Preview Days, Career Fairs, and other recruiting events </li><li>Assists the Admissions team with mailings, data entry, shredding, etc </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to work with others with a helpful attitude. </li><li>Strong technology skills and ability to communicate them to others. </li><li>Good organizational skills and ability to take direction. </li><li>Careful attention to detail and accuracy completing tasks. </li><li>Ability to communicate with supervisor any variation of schedule, concerns, or issues in a timely manner. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience: HS Diploma or equivalent</p> <p>Iowa Valley Community College District does not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment.
