<p>TidalHealth on Maryland's coast is seeking an experienced and visionary Medical Director of OB/GYN Services to lead and integrate inpatient and outpatient obstetric and gynecologic care. This individual will oversee clinical operations, quality initiatives, and strategic direction across the OB/GYN department, and will supervise both the Residency Program Director (PD) and inpatient medical teams to ensure excellence in education, patient care, and safety.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provide clinical leadership and operational oversight for OB/GYN inpatient and outpatient services. </li><li>Supervise and support the OB/GYN Residency Program Director to ensure compliance with ACGME standards and support educational excellence. </li><li>Collaborate with hospital administration, nursing, and allied health leadership to optimize service delivery and patient outcomes. </li><li>Monitor and improve key quality and performance metrics (e.g., maternal morbidity, surgical outcomes, patient satisfaction). </li><li>Lead departmental quality improvement initiatives and promote evidence-based care. </li><li>Ensure coordination and continuity of care across the inpatient and outpatient continuum. </li><li>Oversee and manage locum tenens coverage as needed to ensure consistent staffing and continuity of care. </li><li>Mentor physicians and support ongoing professional development. </li><li>Participate in strategic planning and resource allocation. </li><li>Serve as a liaison between OB/GYN faculty, hospital leadership, and community partners. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>MD or DO degree with board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology. </li><li>Eligible for medical licensure in MD. </li><li>Clinical OB/GYN experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or administrative role. </li><li>Demonstrated success in managing teams, improving quality metrics, and supporting graduate medical education. </li><li>Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Experience with academic medicine and GME accreditation standards (preferred). </li></ul> <p>Why Join Us:</p> <ul> <li>A mission-driven health system committed to excellence in patient care, education, and community service. </li><li>A collaborative, multidisciplinary environment with robust support for clinical innovation and academic growth. </li><li>Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package. </li></ul> <p>About our area:</p> <p>Being minutes from Ocean City, Maryland, the area is a tourist destination in the summer for its beaches and is equidistant between Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Washington, DC and Baltimore, Maryland.
