<p>The Quality Control Chemist II will be responsible for analyzing and making determinations as to the quality of a product, using analytical equipment pertinent to the appropriate application of skills. This position provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity. Works under general supervision. This is a swing shift position with the hours being 2:00pm to 1:00am. The schedule for this position is Wednesday through Saturday. This position is not hybrid or remote.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Analysis of bulk chemicals, pharmaceutical compounds, and environmental monitoring samples which require a comprehensive knowledge of chemistry or microbiology and laboratory techniques. </li><li>General housekeeping including maintaining general cleanliness of laboratories and restocking reagents and laboratory consumables. </li><li>Conduct review of peer data including more complex analysis. </li><li>Maintain a through and neat laboratory notebook. </li><li>Compilation of data obtained from analytical tests, analysis of the data, and reporting of results to appropriate departments. </li><li>May be responsible for communicating status and timing of analytical testing to internal clients. </li><li>May lead investigations of laboratory samples and help determine appropriate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address mitigation of investigation assignable cause. </li><li>May participate in integrated product team (IPT) meetings. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE</p> <ul> <li>Bachelors degree Chemistry, Microbiology or Related Field required. </li><li>2-4 years directly related technical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. </li></ul> <p>COMPETENCIES/SKILLS</p> <ul> <li>Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills. </li><li>Must have a high consciousness for personal and laboratory safety. </li><li>Strong attention to detail. </li><li>Team oriented. </li><li>Good judgement and an understanding of chemistry theories and concepts. </li></ul> <p>CERTIFICATIONS and LICENSES</p> <ul> <li>Not Applicable </li></ul> <p>This job description does not constitute a contract of employment or otherwise limit employment-at-will rights at any time</p>
