The Superintendent works under the direction of the USD 367 Board of Education to advance the districts mission and ensure high-quality educational experiences for all students.</p> <p>Contract Length: 260 Days | July 1 - June 30</p> <p>Salary: As set by USD 367 Board of Education</p> <p>Benefits: Fringe Benefits as scheduled by the Board of Education</p> <p>10 Vacation Days per year, un-accumulative</p> <p>14 Personal Days per year, accumulative to 110 days</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <p>Masters Degree or higher from an accredited college/university.</p> <p>Qualifications Current Kansas State Licensure with District Leadership</p> <p>endorsement.</p> <p>Three or more years of successful educational leadership experience in building level</p> <p>leadership with district level experience preferred.</p> <p>Health and Inoculation Certificate on file in the central office.</p> <p>A valid driver's license, be able to drive, and qualify under the districts</p> <p>insurance carrier when driving a district vehicle.</p> <p>Desire to continue professional growth.</p> <p>Physical Requires prolonged sitting or standing</p> <p>Requirements & Requires occasional physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull or push</p> <p>Conditions heavy objects or materials up to 20lbs</p> <p>Requires stooping, bending or reaching</p> <p>Must be able to climb stairs or use a small step ladder</p> <p>Must be able to look at digital screens for long periods of time</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Leadership & Governance</p> <p>Provide visionary leadership that supports student achievement, district improvement, and a positive culture across USD 367.</p> <p>Supervise and direct all district operations, personnel, and instructional programs.</p> <p>Meet regularly with the USD 367 Board of Education to report on district progress, advise on matters of concern, and recommend appropriate policy and operational action.</p> <p>Provide the Board with accurate data, professional analysis, and recommendations to support effective governance and long-range planning.</p> <p>Interpret and implement Board policies and decisions, ensuring consistent communication to staff, students, families, and community stakeholders.</p> <p>Strategic & Operational Management</p> <p>Define district goals, objectives, expectations, and systems to ensure effective administration and strong educational outcomes in USD 367.</p> <p>Evaluate educational, staffing, instructional, and facility needs and recommend strategies to meet both current demands and future growth.</p> <p>Oversee personnel processes by authorizing final recommendations to the Board regarding hiring, assignment, transfer, promotion, suspension, or dismissal in accordance with Kansas statutes, KSDE regulations, and USD 367 Board policy.</p> <p>Lead the preparation, presentation, and administration of the districts annual budget, ensuring fiscal accountability and alignment with district priorities.</p> <p>Guide and evaluate innovative, pilot, or experimental initiatives that support the continuous improvement of USD 367 programs and services.</p> <p>Communication & Community Engagement</p> <p>Implement and maintain open, transparent, and effective communication systems to build trust and support among students, staff, families, and the Osawatomie community.</p> <p>Serve as the official spokesperson of USD 367 and represent the district at community events, professional organizations, and public forums.</p> <p>Advocate for USD 367s interests within the Kansas Legislature and remain actively involved in state and regional educational organizations.</p> <p>Benefits Information</p> <p>Fringe Benefits as scheduled by the Board of Education</p> <p>10 Vacation Days per year, un-accumulative</p> <p>14 Personal Days per year, accumulative to 110 days</p> <p>Salary Information</p> <p>As set by USD 367 Board of Education</p> <p>Employer Information</p> <p>Teacher Application and Interview Procedure</p> <p>This process consists of these steps:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Submit a completed application file online through the district`s website at jobs.usd367.org</p> </li><li> <p>To navigate from main site, go to www.usd367.org > District > Job Opportunities.</p> </li><li> <p>Applicant files must be complete before a screening interview will be arranged.
