The company was founded over 22 years ago in San Francisco as a medical cannabis co-op and since that time, we have expanded our independently-owned operations throughout Colorado, Massachusetts and Nevada. We are a rapidly growing company and provide equal opportunities for career advancement in a fun, fast-paced environment.</p> <p>Pay Rate: $25.00-$31.00 per hour commensurate with experience.</p> <p>Job Summary: The Facilities Technician's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, traveling to all Good Chemistry locations in order to maintain buildings and ensure property is kept in quality condition by conducting repairs and maintenance of buildings, furniture, fixtures, building exteriors and equipment. Facilities Technicians typically work 6:30am-3:00pm, hours can vary due to location Monday-Friday. Facilities Technicians are expected to be flexible in their schedule and be prepared to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.</p> <p>Expected timeframe to fill position:</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Facilities Technician assists in daily operations of repair and maintenance</p> </li><li> <p>Promptly handles all maintenance problems within the department areas of responsibility</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure that premises and equipment are well-maintained, clean and safe</p> </li><li> <p>On call 24/7 availability to respond to emergency situations (i.e. system failure, water leaks, etc.)</p> </li><li> <p>Administer approved procedures as it pertains to the assignment of tasks, use of equipment, safety, preventive maintenance, and repairs</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure the efficient and prompt handling of all department work orders and requests</p> </li></ul> <p>Job Requirements (Education and Experience)</p> <ul> <li> <p>High School Diploma</p> </li><li> <p>This job involves cannabis and requires that you be at least 21 years old. Do you meet the age requirement?</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to pass CORI background check to obtain an Agent Registration</p> </li><li> <p>Two to four years experience in construction, maintenance, or other technical fields</p> </li></ul> <p>Essential Job Functions</p> <ul> <li> <p>Must qualify for the use of a full-face respirator</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to complete repetitive fine motor movements</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to seize, hold, grasp, turn, open, close, lift, or otherwise work with your hand(s) to manipulate packaging, products, and pruning equipment repetitively throughout a 10hr shift.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to work in an environment with high noise and high light intensity</p> </li><li> <p>Must be comfortable using provided PPE such as masks, hair nets, beard covers, respirators, boot covers, non-slip shoes, and Tyvek suits as necessary.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)</p> <ul> <li> <p>Must pass a background check in order to obtain an Agent Registration badge through Cannabis Control Commission (CCC)</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work independently</p> </li><li> <p>General knowledge of electric, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and painting - experience in HVAC preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work effectively across departments</p> </li><li> <p>Enthusiasm for cannabis industry</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent oral and written communication, prioritization and problem-solving skills</p> </li><li> <p>Proven attention to detail and organization skills</p> </li><li> <p>Technical capacity</p> </li><li> <p>Physical demands may include heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) climbing, bending, sweeping, shoveling and other clean up tasks</p> </li><li> <p>Must have valid driver's license, smartphone and own reliable transportation</p> </li></ul> <p>Additional Requirements:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Must be able to lift, carry, pull, push, move up to 50 pounds (100 pounds with mechanical assistance)</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stooping, kneeling, crouching and reaching; and must be able to use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch, frequently/constantly to complete tasks</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to handle plant matter daily, and be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment ("PPE") as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection)</p> </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements: The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. All jobs require daily use of provided PPE such as masks, hair nets, bear covers, respirators, boot covers, hearing protection, aprons, gloves, Tyvek suits, and goggles/eye protection, as necessary. The employee must be able to work in spaces with exposure to loud noises, including but not limited to, air compressors, packaging equipment, alarms, and other machinery.
