Whether you're a seasoned healthcare professional or starting out, you'll find rewarding opportunities here at Grady.</p> <p>Position Overview</p> <p>As a Nursing Support Technician (NST) in the Float Unit, you'll bring your skills and compassion to various specialized units throughout the hospital. Floating across departments such as Med/Surg, Orthopedics, ICU, and Oncology, you'll address diverse patient needs while filling critical gaps to ensure consistent, high-quality care across Grady. This role requires flexibility and adaptability as you move between units, responding to the unique demands and challenges each setting presents.</p> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <ul> <li>Deliver compassionate, culturally sensitive, and age-appropriate care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, or Physician. </li><li>Support daily living activities, provide comfort measures, and assist with nourishment to promote patient well-being. </li><li>Collect and communicate vital information, ensuring accurate records and timely updates. </li><li>Perform selected tasks and therapies as delegated by licensed professionals, utilizing technology and maintaining a safe, supportive environment. </li><li>Serve as an advocate for patients and engage in teaching and performance improvement initiatives. </li><li>Perform both basic and advanced tasks, validated by competency assessments, to meet the diverse needs of patients across units. </li><li>NSTs in the Float Unit may also be cross-trained to act as patient safety monitors or unit clerks, offering additional support as needed. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED required. </li><li>American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. </li><li>To be qualified for this role, candidates must possess one of the following: </li><li>Current Georgia Nursing Assistant Certification or </li><li>Certificate of Completion from an Accredited Patient Care Technician (PCT) Program or </li><li>Completion of a Basic Nursing Fundamentals Course, as shown on an official transcript from an accredited School of Nursing. </li></ul> <p>Why Grady?</p> <ul> <li>Comprehensive Benefits: Access a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits designed to support your physical, mental, and financial well-being. </li><li>Growth and Learning: Embrace the opportunity for cross-training and career advancement, with resources to support your professional journey. </li><li>Dynamic Work Environment: Experience the variety and excitement of working across different hospital units in a collaborative, mission-driven setting. </li></ul> <p>If you're ready to expand your skills, adapt to new challenges, and be part of a team dedicated to exceptional patient care, we encourage you to apply and join the Grady family!</p> <p>Equal Opportunity Employer-Minorities/Females/Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity.</p>
