<p>LIBRARY CHILDREN'S ACTIVITY COORDINATOR - ENGLISH AND SPANISH</p> <p>CLOSING DATE: Open until filled</p> <p>PAY RATE: $13.42-$18.79 per hour depending on experience and qualifications, with starting wage not typically above the mid-point of the range ($16.11).</p> <p>SCHEDULE: Hours will depend on the program involved with and will be discussed during the interview. 18-20 hours per week.</p> <p>DEPARTMENT: Library</p> <p>JOB SUMMARY</p> <p>Performs duties related to the planning and implementing of programs, creative activities, book discussions and programs for all ages. May assist with social media promotions.</p> <p>English and Spanish proficiency necessary (speaking, reading, and writing). Will assist library functions in both languages.</p> <p>RESPONSIBLITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Graduation from high school. </li><li>Ability to work well in a team setting. </li><li>Ability to collaborate in creating fun entertaining events for all ages. </li><li>Treat adults and children with respect. </li><li>Enjoy creating visual aids and paper crafts geared toward school-aged children. </li><li>Have the ability to laugh and enjoy working with children. </li><li>Comfortable working in front of large groups of participants. </li><li>Knowledge of basic computer use. </li><li>Must pass drug and background test before hire. </li><li>Current driver's license with own transportation. </li><li>Needs to be comfortable being recorded for on-line programs. </li><li>Must be enthusiastic and have a positive attitude. </li><li>Must have excellent communication skills. </li><li>Must be proficient in English and Spanish (speaking, reading, and writing). </li></ul> <p>Employment in this position is conditional upon passing a pre-employment background and drug test.
