<p>Job Specifics</p> <ul> <li>Location: 3201 Eaton Rd, Green Bay, WI 54311 </li><li>Hours: Full-time (40 hours/week) Hours vary </li></ul> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>The clinical faculty member is responsible for providing high-quality hands-on clinical instruction and supervision to nursing students in various healthcare settings; to support the Strategic Plan of the College, and to contribute to the development of the profession.</p> <p>Duties and Expectations:</p> <p>Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Visibly supportive of the College's mission and values.</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct student assessments, provide constructive feedback, and evaluate clinical competencies using college/clinical assessment tools.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides effective, high-quality clinical instruction in various health care settings.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides a learning environment that supports student development of clinical judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving. in a creative and humanistic way</p> </li><li> <p>Guides appropriate learning and personal development of students.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate key changes and/or concerns about student performance to the Course Facilitator and BSN Program Director.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrates a high standard of professional conduct and practice that students may emulate.</p> </li><li> <p>Is self-directed in professional growth.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains membership and participates in professional organizations.</p> </li><li> <p>Engages in continuous professional development and stays current with best practices in nursing education and clinical practice.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicates and interprets program mission, philosophy, values, goals, policies, curriculum, and activities to students, faculty, clinical facilities staff, and members of the community.</p> </li><li> <p>Functions in partnership with clinical agencies and the community at large in planning, implementing, and evaluating optimum student learning activities.</p> </li><li> <p>Works collaboratively with the nursing faculty, healthcare partners, and other stakeholders to enhance the quality of the nursing program.</p> </li><li> <p>Acts as a spokesperson for the Nursing Program in the community, with clinical partners, professional organizations, and accrediting bodies.</p> </li><li> <p>Wisely utilizes College resources.</p> </li><li> <p>Completes activities/tasks in an accountable and timely manner.</p> </li><li> <p>Participates in the College-wide efforts related to continuous quality improvement.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains professional confidentiality. 19. Other duties as assigned.</p> </li></ol> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Education - Licensures: The Wisconsin Code and accreditation criteria together require that faculty:</p> <ul> <li>Holds a Master's degree in nursing from an accredited institution with clinical specialization appropriate to their area of teaching responsibility. </li><li>Have a current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) License in the State of Wisconsin or Nurse Licensure Compact state. Licensure in a non-compact state may be required depending on student practica placements. </li></ul> <p>Experience: Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience. Previous teaching experience in a nursing education program is preferred.</p> <p>Knowledge: Knowledge and competence appropriate to the area of teaching responsibility are required and include:</p> <ul> <li>Strong clinical skills and knowledge in nursing practice. </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Ability to engage and inspire students. </li><li>Proficiency in using educational technology and simulation tools. </li></ul> <p>Abilities and Characteristics:</p> <p>There are many roles within which a faculty member is expected to perform.
