<p>Job Summary</p> <p>Under the direction of the Extrusion Production Manager will oversee the day to day operation of production on all shifts, including work assignments, training of production personnel and the coordination with extrusion and the punch department. This will be achieved by maintaining HellermannTyton's IATF16949/ISO9001 Quality and ISO14001 EMS certifications by supporting all corporate policies, procedures, work instructions and required documentation.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Attend any necessary meetings for the Extrusion Department in the absence of the </li><li>Extrusion Manager and communicate results of those meetings to mgmt. </li><li>Ensure that all company policies and procedures are followed on all shifts </li><li>Assign work to work stations to include work orders, materials, production sheets, for all shifts. </li><li>Adhere to production quality standards </li><li>Report any and all equipment problems to manager </li><li>Maintain a clean and safe work environment </li><li>Understand and follow inventory control, receiving materials ,transfers and cycle counts </li><li>Understand and perform basic maintenance with extrusion equipment </li></ul> <p>Other Functions</p> <ul> <li>Attend and successfully complete forklift training. </li><li>Perform grinding duties as needed. </li><li>Perform duties of Extrusion Operator or Technicians as needed. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Success in this role will require</p> <ul> <li>Understanding of extrusion processing, generally accepted manufacturing principles, with ability to document non-conformances. </li><li>Ability to make sound judgments in regarding to work assignments. </li><li>Ability to train/communicate/mentor Extrusion Operators and Technicians. </li><li>Read and interpret shop orders. </li><li>Understanding of inventory and impact of cycle counting on company records. </li><li>Required Personal Protective Equipment <em>safety shoes are to be work at all times during your scheduled work hours.</em> </li><li>Department manager/supervisor will cover additional PPE as required on department specific work instructions. </li><li>All employees entering the manufacturing area and other identified locations must wear the designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). </li><li>Wearing your Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is a condition of employment. </li><li>Forklift certified at HellermannTyton </li></ul> <p>What You'll Bring</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent required. </li><li>Minimum of 2 years plastic processing experience </li><li>Must have leadership skills. </li><li>Good oral and written communication skills. </li><li>Basic computer skills. </li><li>Ability to read and understand tool and product blueprints/specifications. </li><li>Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for up to 12 hours when scheduled. </li><li>Prior forklift experience, preferred. </li><li>Must be able to perform detailed inspections and completed associated documentation. </li><li>Must be able to follow detailed instructions in either written or oral form. </li></ul> <p>Rev. 9.5.2023</p>
