<p>Overview</p> <p>Legacy Health in Portland, Oregon has an exciting opportunity for Supplemental Intensivists to join our critical care team. If this reflects the kind of healthcare environment where you can thrive, we invite you to consider this position.</p> <p>We are seeking board-certified or board-eligible Supplemental Intensivists to join Legacy Hospitals, with primary assignment at our tertiary care hospital in downtown Portland. You will join a highly collaborative and well-established department of 35 physicians and 5 advanced practice providers within Legacy Medical Group, a multispecialty organization of more than 350 employed providers.</p> <p>Legacy Health offers a supportive work environment and competitive compensation.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Provide hospital-based critical care, as the attending physician-of-record or as a subspecialty consultant as requested by members of the medical staff. </li><li>Perform the normal and customary functions of a physician practicing critical medicine. </li><li>Primary admitting service for neurocritical care patients, with cross-coverage on neurointerventional patients. </li><li>Medical management of patients with advanced cardiopulmonary disease, including patients requiring mechanical circulatory support and ECMO, with cross-coverage on cardiothoracic surgery patients. </li><li>Supervise internal medicine house staff caring for patients on our medical and neurointensive care services. </li><li>Work collaboratively with critical care advanced practice providers. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Graduate of a four-year accredited U.S. Medical School or the equivalent. </li><li>Satisfactory completion of an accredited residency in Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or anesthesia and fellowship in Critical Care Medicine. </li><li>Training and/or experience in VV and VA ECMO a plus </li></ul> <p>Licensure</p> <ul> <li>Board certified or board eligible in Critical Care Medicine and/or Neuro Critical Care Medicine. </li><li>Unrestricted license to practice medicine in Oregon. </li><li>Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association. </li><li>DEA certification. </li></ul> <p>Please Note: No J1 or H-1B visa opportunities.</p> <p>For additional information please formally apply or contact Forrest Brown at FoBrown@lhs.org</p> <p>Our Commitment to Health and Equal Opportunity</p> <p>Our Legacy is good for health for Our People, Our Patients, Our Communities, Our World.
