<p>Posting Number Stu438P Working Title TRiO Student Support Tutor FLSA Student Pay Level B Advertised Pay Rate $11.00 Position Status Regular Student Employment Department Student Emp TRIO Student Support Services Job Summary/Basic Function</p> <ul> <li>Provide academic assistance to TRIO SSS participants enrolled in Math 101, English 101, and/or Biology 103 & 104. </li><li>Facilitate both group and individual tutoring sessions. </li><li>Help students review, clarify, and apply course concepts. </li><li>Encourage students to develop effective study strategies and problem-solving skills. </li><li>Foster a supportive, welcoming environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and practicing new ideas. </li><li>Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions as required by the TRIO program. </li><li>Attend tutor training sessions and meetings as scheduled. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Must be currently enrolled as a student. </li><li>Successfully completed (with a grade of B or higher) Math 101, English 101, and/or Biology 103/104, depending on subject(s) applying to tutor. </li><li>Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Ability to work collaboratively with students of diverse backgrounds. </li><li>Prior tutoring or mentoring experience preferred but not required. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Have the sensitivity for working with the SSS Program eligible population</p> <p>Posting Date 02/02/2026 Close Date Special Instructions Summary</p>
