<p>POSITION TYPE: Exempt, Non-Aligned, Salary, 12 months, Full Time</p> <p>SALARY RANGE: $60,000-$70,000 USD</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS- REQUIRED:</p> <ul> <li>Associates degree in related field, Bachelor's Degree preferred </li><li>2 to 5 years of related professional experience required, with prior school registration experience preferred; Other combinations of applicable education, training, and experience which provide the knowledge, abilities, and skills necessary to perform effectively in the position may be considered and substituted as applicable </li><li>2 to 5 years of experience working with data entry, data manipulation and validation of data elements required; experience working with an information management system that stores and manages important confidential information preferred </li><li>Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office applications required </li><li>Proficient using data to guide professional practices, make decisions, and when making recommendations for improvement </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills </li><li>Detail-oriented with strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills </li><li>Ability to perform effectively in environments with frequent interruptions and competing demands </li><li>Ability to work collaboratively to address concerns and resolve conflict in a professional, courteous manner </li><li>Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction </li><li>Ability to communicate, interact and work effectively with all people including those from diverse ethnic, cultural, linguistic and educational backgrounds </li><li>Ability to promote and follow District and school policies and procedures </li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job </li><li>Current authorization to work in the United States by the first day of employment </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS:</p> <p>Physically capable of carrying out the daily responsibilities of the office including (but not limited to): consistent attendance; stand; walk; use hands to manage tools and equipment; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, and sit for prolonged periods at a desk while working on a computer. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 - 30 pounds.</p> <p>POSITION OVERVIEW:</p> <p>This position is multi-faceted and involves providing customer service, managing data systems, and other administrative duties.</p> <p>The Specialist works in conjunction with other district and school staff in leading family and community outreach, as well as developing new strategies and approaches to improve enrollment of eligible Public Schools of Brookline (PSB) students. As the first point of contact with PSB, the specialist will represent the district professionally and positively, always exercising utmost discretion, diplomacy and tact in interactions with prospective families and community members.</p> <p>Under the direct supervision of the Registration and Enrollment Manager, duties include, but are not limited to acting as New family Liaison, Provide customer service over the phone, in person, and by email to prospective families, currently enrolled families, community members and District staff regarding enrollment; Conducting registration interviews, Maintain and update address change requests, including verifying required documentation and data, maintaining shared document distribution, and tracking all new enrollments, and providing other support to the Registration and Enrollment Manager</p> <p>ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>Primary Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provide support to prospective parents/guardians in registering students for Public Schools of Brookline </li><li>Responding to all inquiries for the Office of Registration and Enrollment, including drafting routine email correspondence, answering phone calls and text messages, opening and processing mail, responding to in-person and any other inquiries for the Office of Registration and Enrollment </li><li>Conduct registration interviews with families </li><li>Explain district policies regarding enrollment and residency </li><li>Daily tracking, gathering, verifying, maintaining and distributing accurate data and documentation pertaining to registration and enrollment, which may include data entry, photocopying, scanning and uploading documents, and data cleaning </li><li>Maintaining shared document distribution </li><li>Resolve technical issues or questions for enrollment-related tasks and triaging more complex support requests </li><li>Collect and organize information to facilitate school assignment determinations as approved by Registration and Enrollment Manager </li><li>Monitor calendar and scheduling for registration and additional screening appointments </li><li>Coordinate with school officials and staff in the entry of new/returning students and student withdrawal information, ensuring student information is shared with relevant school-based staff and processed accordingly </li><li>Conduct outreach events for prospective families and ensure timely distribution of web-based and print publications and mailings. </li></ul> <p>Other Responsibilities and Expectations:</p> <ul> <li>Uphold high performing, cohesive, customer service oriented team environment </li><li>Communicate information timely, frequently, and in a professional manner to the Registration and Enrollment Manager, and any other administrators and Brookline staff. </li><li>Assist the Registration and Enrollment Manager and the Director of Data and Information Systems with administrative duties and projects as needed. </li><li>All employees must be vaccinated and maintain full vaccination as a condition of employment or work as an on-site vendor/contractor, unless they receive approval for a documented medical or religious exemption in accordance with relevant state and/or federal law.
