This role is critical in ensuring that all locations meet high standards for safety, cleanliness, functionality, and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, while creating a welcoming and safe environment for children, families, and staff.</p> <p>Pay: $65,000 - $75,000 per year</p> <p>Travel: Approx. 1 - 1.5 hours between locations</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Facilities Maintenance & Oversight</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct routine site visits to assess facility conditions and address maintenance needs.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate and supervise repair work, preventative maintenance, and emergency responses.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop and manage maintenance schedules across all centers.</p> </li><li> <p>Manage vendors and contractors to ensure timely and quality completion of work.</p> </li><li> <p>Health & Safety Compliance</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure all locations are compliant with building codes, health and safety regulations, and licensing requirements for childcare facilities.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor security systems and protocols across all centers.</p> </li><li> <p>Support centers in preparation for inspections (e.g., fire, health, licensing)</p> </li><li> <p>Team Collaboration</p> </li><li> <p>Serve as a point of contact for center directors and staff regarding facility concerns.</p> </li><li> <p>Train on-site staff on emergency procedures, equipment use, and minor maintenance tasks.</p> </li><li> <p>Foster a culture of safety and accountability across all centers.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Required:</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum 2 years of experience in facilities management, preferably in a multi-site or educational/childcare setting.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical), safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.</p> </li><li> <p>Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly to sites in NY and NJ.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong organizational and project management skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Preferred:</p> </li><li> <p>OSHA certification, Facilities Management Certification (e.g., FMP, CFM).</p> </li><li> <p>Experience managing contractors and capital projects.</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with childcare licensing regulations in NY and NJ.</p> </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <ul> <li>Travel required across multiple sites in New York and New Jersey. </li><li>Must be available for after-hours emergencies on an on-call basis. </li><li>Physical ability to inspect buildings and access various facility systems. </li></ul>
