<p>Job Description:</p> <p>The department of Chemistry at MCLA seeks a full-time Visiting Assistant Professor of Chemistry/Biochemistry, for an anticipated one-year (9-month) position (fall 2025-spring 2026). Primary duties will include teaching 12 credit hours per semester in both lower and upper-level courses such as Introduction to Chemistry lecture and laboratory, Biochemistry, Biotechniques, and Advanced Biochemistry. We anticipate all classes to be taught in-person. There will also be opportunities for advising and research involving undergraduates, with access to a suite of modern instrumentation.</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>The successful candidate must hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Biology. Experience teaching college-level chemistry and/or biochemistry is desirable, as well as dedication to excellence in teaching, including diverse pedagogies that improve engagement and success of students from underrepresented populations.</p> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>This is a full-time, benefitted position within the MSCA union. Salary is $60,000 - $75,000.
