<p>MAP Training Coordinator, RN - Full Time</p> <p>Schedule: Mon-Fri 8am-4pm.</p> <p>Pay Rate: $40.45 / hourly</p> <p>People, Incorporated is a human service Agency serving the Southcoast community, including the Greater Fall River, New Bedford, and Taunton areas. Let People, Incorporated be Your Path to Opportunity!</p> <p>SUMMARY: As a key member of the Medication Administration Program (MAP) compliance team, the MAP Training Coordinator, RN will assist the Director of Nursing in ensuring that premier services are provided through trained and professional staff to individuals whom People Incorporated supports.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Assist with Medication Administration Program training and compliance, in addition to performing other health-related educational trainings and supports to program staff, including, but not limited to, vital signs, universal precautions, G and J tube training and competency of administration of medication through these routes.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with observation of safe administration of medication and proper documentation.</p> </li><li> <p>Adhere to all medical and funding source regulations and employer policies and procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure and safeguard individuals human dignity, rights, and liberties.</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct MAP training to new employees, in addition to providing MAP recertification and transcription training.</p> </li><li> <p>Utilize state and Agency software for tracking, training, and any other functions related to MAP compliance.</p> </li><li> <p>May be required to use employees personal vehicle for work purposes.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in all staff meetings and required training sessions, including in-service training, as scheduled.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain all program and Agency required training.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform other duties as assigned.</p> </li></ul> <p>MAP COMPLIANCE:</p> <ul> <li>Assist the Director of Nursing with audits of Residential homes to ensure compliance of MAP-trained staff and documentation. </li><li>Provide ongoing support to Direct Care Professionals with observation of medication administration and related documentation. </li><li>Assist with report writing and follow-up. </li><li>Assist with creating and updating training material and supporting documents, such as competencies. </li><li>Review internally submitted medication occurrence reports (MORs) and provide feedback. Update and maintain the internal medication occurrence report tracker while identifying trends. </li><li>Participate in reviews and follow-up requests from DDS and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. </li><li>Assist in ensuring medication administration-related policies, forms, and procedures are MAP-compliant. </li><li>Remain current with MAP policies and advisories, communicating new and revised information/practice. </li><li>Ensure MAP Trainer status by teaching at minimum one MAP class per calendar year and completing required MAP webinars and any additional trainings. </li></ul> <p>NURSING SERVICES:</p> <ul> <li>Assist with nursing assessments and discharges as assigned by Director of Nursing. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge and skill obtained through attainment of a Massachusetts license as Registered Nurse and two years of nursing experience </li><li>Prior experience with Massachusetts Medication Administration Program (MAP) is preferred. </li><li>Active MAP Trainer status or the ability to successfully complete the Massachusetts MAP Trainer course upon hire </li><li>Prior experience teaching or training adults is highly beneficial to the position </li><li>Ability to maintain required records and follow procedure in accordance with organization and licensing policy </li><li>A qualifying criminal background check, driving record, and a valid drivers license </li><li>Ability to provide current copy of all required health records and TB assessments </li></ul> <p>Why join our Team?</p> <p>Come work in a rewarding and creative environment that encourages growth, collaboration and community involvement that is exploding with opportunities.</p> <p>At People Incorporated you will find a path to endless opportunities and a rewarding career!
