<p>Apply</p> <p>Description</p> <p>PURPOSE</p> <p>The Staff Accountant position plays a critical role in ensuring the financial integrity and contributes to the fiscal health of the organization through meticulous accounting practices. This role is instrumental in executing a range of general accounting functions, including but not limited to, preparing month-end close journal entries, ensuring accurate balance sheet and profit and loss account reconciliations, and conducting thorough analyses during the month-end close.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.</p> <p>Essential functions:</p> <p>Prepare month-end close journal entries</p> <p>Complete balance sheet and profit and loss account reconciliations and analysis during month-end close as assigned</p> <p>Perform close administration - maintain journal entry checklist, account reconciliation checklist, & secondary review checklist</p> <p>Account review and analysis throughout the month and posting of transactions</p> <p>General ledger integrity reports and validations</p> <p>Prepare state and local tax filings, licenses, and registrations for business operations</p> <p>Perform cash management functions, including but not limited to daily bank deposits, weekly payment processing, & research on transactions</p> <p>Record property transactions including but not limited to rent and related expenses, utilities, insurance, and other transactions on a weekly and monthly basis as necessary</p> <p>Perform lease administration and review in accordance with ASC 842</p> <p>Cross-train with other accountants to ensure flow of tasks</p> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Education and Work Experience:</p> <p>Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field</p> <p>Preferably one to two years of experience.</p> <p>CPA or CPA eligible (preferred but not required).</p> <p>Competencies:</p> <p>Attention to accuracy and detail required.</p> <p>Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment as we are a growing company.</p> <p>Individuals must be able to work as part of a team, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, be an adept problem solver, and have the flexibility to handle changing priorities.</p>
