Our testing portfolio includes vitamins, minerals, contaminants, pesticides and shelf-life studies.</p> <p>We test of a variety of instrumentation including UPLC, HPLC, GC, and LCMS technologies. If you are looking for an opportunity to work for an exciting growth oriented company, we look forward to talking with you!</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>The Lab Support Specialist performs Instrument and Information Technology Support including infrastructure, software, system integration, instrument support, IT, and project management as required to support EFII growth across all sites. The Lab Support Specialist will ensure assigned applications are effectively implemented and maintained to meet applicable regulatory requirements. The lab support specialist may also support the NSC service desk.</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrates and promotes the company vision </li><li>Develop or aid in the development of test plans for software validation and change control in accordance with all SOPs and Policies </li><li>Validate and maintain computer software used to generate, process, or print raw data </li><li>Perform simple to advanced programming activities including test, creation, or modification of the assigned applications based on user and/or system design specifications </li><li>Identify opportunities to enhance automation/digitization within the business </li><li>Complete specific programming or application improvement projects </li><li>Review and update application documentation related to projects </li><li>Develop, coordinate, and perform training sessions for users of the assigned applications/systems </li><li>Evaluate new software for applicability within the business and determine if it meets SOP/Policy requirements for security </li><li>Maintain all IT infrastructure, systems, hardware, software, IT closet, and hardware inventory </li><li>Act as the liaison with the Eurofins IT NSC. May also support direct IT NSC duties up to 25% of their role. </li><li>Lead application troubleshooting efforts within Eurofins Food Chemistry Testing, Madison </li><li>Assist in risk mitigation efforts for disaster recovery plans, including performing or monitoring application/system back-up procedures </li><li>Manage appropriate IT inventory on-site in Madison to support the business growth and required response time </li><li>Perform IT asset disposal </li><li>Maintain neat and accurate records </li><li>Regular attendance and punctuality </li><li>Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate </li><li>Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Associates degree or at least 5+ years applicable experience in IT, infrastructure, or network environment (Military and vocational certificates are acceptable). A lab degree with experience, plus IT knowledge may be substituted for education</p> <ul> <li>Ability to administer, manage, and maintain multiple applications and/or systems </li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of PC, operating systems, IT infrastructure and security </li><li>Lab eperience strongly preferred </li><li>Advanced computer skills </li><li>Advanced knowledge in Windows-based data capture systems </li><li>Ability to work independently and in a team environment </li><li>Ability to lead a project team to completion of a given task </li><li>Ability to learn new tasks </li><li>Ability to think critically and solve problems quickly and efficiently </li></ul> <p>Additional Information</p> <p>What we offer: As an employer, we're keen to look after our people with as much dedication as they look after our patients.
