The position requires an ability to support operations and assist with the management of a construction site with independent discretion and judgment for related projects. A key aspect of this role is creating a positive, productive, safe, and fun working environment where volunteers and staff feel valued and engaged. Employees may be required to perform other related duties as assigned to meet the organization's ongoing needs.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Assist the Senior Site Supervisor in the management of new home construction projects, ensuring timely completion and quality standards are met. </li><li>Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and implement best practices for construction site safety. </li><li>Train and mentor staff and volunteers in construction techniques and safety procedures, fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment. </li><li>Prepare the site for volunteer workdays, ensuring that materials and tools are organized and accessible. </li><li>Encourage and support volunteers of all skill levels, ensuring they have a meaningful and enjoyable experience. </li><li>Maintain accurate records of project progress, materials, and communicate updates in weekly meetings. </li><li>Monitor material needs and ensure proper inventory management, keeping track of receipts and invoices for accounting purposes. </li><li>Communicate regularly with leadership and other departments regarding project status, needs, and challenges. </li><li>Identify and notify Supervisor to assist in troubleshooting on-site construction issues as they arise. </li><li>Uphold and promote the mission and values of Habitat for Humanity. </li><li>Participate in organization training, meetings and special events or projects as needed. </li><li>Assist in maintaining a clean and safe work environment both at the site and in the office. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications and Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum 2 years of experience in residential construction, with supervisory experience preferred. </li><li>Knowledge of construction practices, tools, and safety regulations. </li><li>A willingness to motivate a diverse team, including volunteers with varying skill levels. </li><li>Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills. </li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software preferred. </li><li>Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for long periods, and working in various weather conditions. </li><li>Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. </li><li>Bilingual in English and Spanish highly preferred. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment:</p> <ul> <li>Primarily outdoor work in a construction setting with exposure to varying weather conditions. </li><li>Some office work required planning and documentation. </li><li>Weekly schedule is Tuesday through Saturday. </li></ul> <p>If you feel you are qualified and wish to apply for this position: Submit a cover letter and resume to the attention Mike Rodriguez, Construction Director via email at [email protected].</p> <p>If you need any ADA accommodations in applying for this position, please email [email protected]</p> <p>Salary $42,000</p> <p>#LI-aff</p>
