<p>Primary Purpose:</p> <p>Teacher facilitators support the instructional development of all teachers in the understanding of SISD</p> <p>curriculum. This role assists teachers in the effective implementation of district curriculum and supports</p> <p>best instructional practices across all content areas and grade levels. This position also entails the</p> <p>coordination and monitoring of all local and state assessments. Provide students with appropriate in-</p> <p>person and distance or virtual instruction in the core academic area assigned to help them fulfill their</p> <p>potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Education/Certification:</p> <p>Bachelor's degree from accredited university</p> <p>Master's Degree (preferred)</p> <p>Valid Texas elementary level teaching certificate</p> <p>Bilingual/ESL endorsement (preferred)</p> <p>Special Knowledge/Skills:</p> <p>Knowledge of curriculum and instructional best practices for online learning</p> <p>Knowledge of effective instructional practices</p> <p>Ability to use students test date systems</p> <p>Ability to perform statistical analysis</p> <p>Ability to develop and deliver professional development to adult learners</p> <p>Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills</p> <p>Knowledge of the state testing program and accountability system</p> <p>Experience:</p> <p>Three years successful teaching experience</p> <p>Experience and knowledge in the areas of curriculum, instruction and assessment.</p> <p>Major Responsibilities and Duties:</p> <p>Instructional Programming</p> <ol> <li>Develop and implement lesson plans for in-person, distance, and virtual learning that fulfill the </li></ol> <p>requirements of district's curriculum program and show written evidence of preparation as required.</p> <p>Prepare lesson plans that reflect accommodations for differences in individual statements.</p> <ol start="2"> <li> <p>Model lessons and instructional strategies as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Support the instructional development of all teachers in understanding the SISD curriculum, varied</p> </li></ol> <p>assessments, and data analysis.</p> <ol start="4"> <li>Provide direction and coordination for how the curriculum is taught consistent with district initiatives and </li></ol> <p>recognized best instructional practices.</p> <ol start="5"> <li> <p>Provide technical support to collaborative teams within campus.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist teachers with resources, materials, tools, information, etc. to support classroom instruction</p> </li></ol> <p>and planning, including new resources.</p> <ol start="7"> <li> <p>Support teachers and administrators in using data to improve instruction on all levels.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist teachers with planning and pacing of lessons, the development of differentiated lessons, and the</p> </li></ol> <p>selection of best practices to meet the needs of their students.</p> <ol start="9"> <li>Support teachers by helping with the strategic pedagogy of teaching while sharing multiple instructional </li></ol> <p>strategies/processes with teachers during planning times.</p> <ol start="10"> <li>Develop staff members' knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviors through a variety of professional </li></ol> <p>development targeted topics and designs.</p> <p>Assessment Coordination</p> <ol start="11"> <li> <p>Coordinate and execute all district and state testing</p> </li><li> <p>Train campus staff in appropriate district and state testing procedures including the use of testing and date</p> </li></ol> <p>programs.</p> <ol start="13"> <li> <p>Coordinate and monitor the implementation of testing accommodations for all special population students.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor local and state testing to ensure all regulations and rules are followed.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for the organization, implementation, verification, collection, and distribution of materials for</p> </li></ol> <p>all assessments.</p> <ol start="16"> <li> <p>Adhere to testing procedures and deadlines.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure coordination efforts between Special Education, LPAC, 504 and RTI Committees on testing</p> </li></ol> <p>program requirements.</p> <ol start="18"> <li>Identify, investigate, and address testing irregularities. Report discrepancies and disciplinary actions taken </li></ol> <p>against students as required.</p> <p>Communication</p> <ol start="19"> <li>Be available by phone, email, or video conferencing to confer with district personnel, students, and/or </li></ol> <p>parents.</p> <ol start="20"> <li>Communicate with students or parents on a regular basis via phone or video conference, email, or district </li></ol> <p>approved website.</p> <ol start="21"> <li>Establish and maintain a professional relationship and open communication with parents, students, </li></ol> <p>colleagues, and community members.</p> <p>Analysis and Collaboration</p> <ol start="22"> <li> <p>Generate and analyze reports at the student, teacher and campus level.</p> </li><li> <p>Work with instructional teams to analyze test data and develop student achievement goals and objectives</p> </li><li> <p>Consult with district staff to develop, administer, and interpret assessment guidelines and procedures.</p> </li></ol> <p>Recordkeeping, Reporting and Inventory</p> <ol start="25"> <li>Maintain and ensure integrity of testing data. Ensure all materials and data are submitted within </li></ol> <p>established timelines.</p> <ol start="26"> <li> <p>Complete evaluation and compliance reports as required by local, state, and federal programs.</p> </li><li> <p>Track and monitor location of test materials throughout the distribution, return, and storage process.</p> </li><li> <p>Compile, maintain, file, and secure all reports, records, and other required documents.</p> </li></ol> <p>School/Community Relations</p> <ol start="29"> <li>Work cooperatively with parents and community members to ensure understanding and </li></ol> <p>support for curriculum, instruction, and assessment.</p> <ol start="30"> <li>Build strong relationships with teachers, administrators, and other staff members. </li></ol> <p>Other</p> <ol start="31"> <li> <p>Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.</p> </li><li> <p>Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.</p> </li></ol> <p>Supervisory Responsibilities:</p> <p>None</p> <p>Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:</p> <p>Tools/Equipment Used: Personal computer, phone systems, video/instructional equipment and peripherals; [P.E.</p> <p>teachers: automated external defibrillator (AED)]</p> <p>Posture: Prolonged standing; frequent kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting</p> <p>Motion: Frequent walking</p> <p>Lifting: Regular light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds); may lift and move text books and classroom</p> <p>equipment.</p> <p>Environment: Work inside, may work outside; regular exposure to noise</p> <p>Mental Demands: Maintain emotional control under stress; work prolonged or irregular hours</p> <p>This document describes the general purpose and responsibilities assigned to this job and is not an exhaustive list of all</p> <p>responsibilities and duties that may be assigned or skills that may be required.</p>
