<p>Job Summary:</p> <p>The Clinical Chart Abstractor/Analyst is responsible for performing chart abstraction, analysis, and data entry to support various regulatory and quality improvement initiatives at University Hospital. This involves daily retrospective and concurrent chart review on patient floors to capture necessary clinical and administrative data for reporting purposes. The data is entered into computerized databases and analyzed for identification of performance improvement opportunities, which are reported back to Hospital Administration and the service area quality improvement teams.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>NYS licensed RN (or eligible), Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a healthcare-related field, with a minimum of 3 years of RN related work experience required. Excellent written/oral communication and customer service skills, excellent attention to detail, solid data analysis skills, excellent organizational skills, and solid technical (PC/database) skills.
