<p>Job Title: Department Chair - Innovation, Technology, and Entrepreneurship (1-Year Only Position)</p> <p>Reports to: Assistant Superintendent of Teaching & Learning</p> <p>Supervises:</p> <ul> <li>Technology Integrators </li><li>Secondary Library/Media Specialists </li><li>Teachers </li></ul> <p>Position Overview:</p> <p>The Department Chair for Innovation, Technology, and Entrepreneurship will lead efforts to design and implement innovative, technology-integrated learning experiences that promote personalized, student-centered instruction. This one-year position will support faculty, staff, and students in leveraging digital tools and emerging technologies to enhance teaching, learning, and college/career readiness. The chair will also coordinate cross-disciplinary collaboration, oversee district-wide A.I. integration efforts, and help drive strategic instructional initiatives aligned with the district's vision for future-ready learners.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Work with teachers, leaders, and guidance department to coordinate college and career readiness opportunities for students, including (but not limited to) pathways such as Innovation Career Pathways. </li><li>Coordinate the District's plan for myCAP in Grades 6-12. </li><li>Design and support implementation of innovative, personalized learning experiences for faculty, staff, and students with a focus on digital integration. </li><li>Collaborate with department chairs and instructional leaders to lead cross-disciplinary and strategic learning initiatives across Grades 6-12. </li><li>Oversee and support the development and implementation of district policy related to Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) and its integration into digital learning environments. </li><li>Partner with the Assistant Superintendent of Teaching & Learning to design and deliver professional learning opportunities for educators in Grades 6-12. </li><li>Provide leadership, coaching, and supervision to technology integrators, coaches and library/media specialists. </li><li>Serve as a thought partner and resource for instructional innovation, educational technology, and entrepreneurial learning opportunities. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Proven experience in instructional leadership, technology integration, or innovation in education.Strong understanding of personalized learning models and digital pedagogy. </li><li>Knowledge of current and emerging technologies, including applications of A.I. in education. </li><li>Ability to lead cross-functional teams and foster collaborative professional communities. </li><li>Experience designing and delivering professional learning for educators. </li><li>Demonstrated commitment to preparing students for college, career, and future innovation opportunities. </li></ul>
