Partners with system and market leaders, and subject matter experts to develop and standardize system education and professional development programs. Works in collaboration with nursing leaders and other NPD resources within the facility or market to ensure nursing education and professional development initiatives advance opportunities to ensure a competent, confident nursing workforce, healthy work environments, and a safe, reliable, patient-centric experience of care across geography and practice settings in the assigned market.</p> <p>Associate Must Live Within BSMH Footprint</p> <p>This role requires competency in clinical care delivery, clinical processes, evidence based practice, research and evaluation, business operations, current and emerging regulatory requirements, federal mandates, and national standards related to nursing practice across care delivery settings.</p> <p>Prior experience in Med Surg Nursing Required.</p> <p>This role will serve under the direction of the System Director: Nursing Practice and Innovation to implement system nursing education and professional development programs, as well as support evidence based practice and nursing research efforts to ensure consistent and effective execution across assigned departments and facilities. This includes but not limited to: orientation and onboarding, RN Residency, preceptor program, etc.</p> <p>Uses critical thinking, and applies the nursing process, principles of adult learning, teaching/learning theories and age appropriate teaching strategies to the implementation of educational programs.</p> <p>Understands principles for learning design and integrates learning technology to ensure effective learning experiences, competency assessment and validation and reflect practice changes, regulatory agency or hospital competency validation requirements.</p> <p>Role models behaviors that embody the mission/vision/values of Bon Secours Mercy Health as well as professional nursing practice standards and, demonstrates attributes of a growth mindset.</p> <p>Instructs others to perform duties within the framework of the nursing professional and specialty standards, policies and procedures set forth by BSMH, state Boards of Nursing, regulatory and accreditation agencies.</p> <p>Effectively utilizes available data to monitor and report performance on programs, initiatives, and targeted improvement efforts to ensure educational programs meet organizational needs such as improvements in nurse sensitive clinical outcomes, HCAHPS, financial, nurse turnover, etc.</p> <p>Partners with leadership and clinical stakeholders in assigned departments to implement clinical education and professional development programs, advocate for clinical learning content and resources necessary for clinicians to maintain evidence based contemporary practice competencies.</p> <p>Required Minimum Education:</p> <p>Graduate Degree (Masters)</p> <p>Specialty/Major</p> <p>Nursing or related field</p> <p>Preferred Education</p> <p>Post Graduate Degree (Ph.D.)</p> <p>Specialty/Major</p> <p>Or DNP</p> <p>Licensing/ Certification -</p> <p>Licensure/Certification Required</p> <p>Registered Nurse</p> <p>Licensure/Certification Preferred</p> <p>Nurse leader and/or professional development</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Minimum Years and Type of Experience</p> <p>5 years related experience including 2 years in leadership role with significant business impact</p> <p>Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required</p> <p>Experience with the Magnet and/or Pathways to Excellence recognition programs; expert writing and editing skills; strong written and verbal communication skills.</p> <p>Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred</p> <p>Experience as a Magnet Program Director will be strongly considered</p> <p>Many of our opportunities reward* your hard work with:</p> <p>Comprehensive, affordable medical, dental and vision plans</p> <p>Prescription drug coverage</p> <p>Flexible spending accounts</p> <p>Life insurance w/AD&D</p> <p>Employer contributions to retirement savings plan when eligible</p> <p>Paid time off</p> <p>Educational Assistance</p> <p>And much more</p> <ul> <li>Benefits offerings vary according to employment status </li></ul> <p>All applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, genetic information, or protected veteran status, and will not be discriminated against on the basis of disability.
