Responsibilities include inspecting, testing, and performing fire extinguisher checks in accordance with fire code; identifying system deficiencies; and preparing accurate and timely inspection reports.</p> <p>Essential Duties & Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Install or service fire extinguishers in commercial and residential buildings</p> </li><li> <p>Test and repair fire extinguishers already in place</p> </li><li> <p>Perform inspections to ensure fire extinguishers are installed according to code</p> </li><li> <p>Complete detailed inspection reports, documenting any issues</p> </li><li> <p>Report results of work completed in an accurate and timely manner</p> </li><li> <p>Protect and maintain company equipment</p> </li><li> <p>Inspect and maintain the truck and all related equipment, submitting repair requests as necessary</p> </li><li> <p>Operate warehouse equipment, including vehicles, following all safety regulations and manufacturer instructions</p> </li><li> <p>Work in accordance with company safety procedures, including driver safety and proper use of PPE</p> </li><li> <p>Respond to emergency service calls</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain a clean and safe workspace</p> </li><li> <p>Perform other duties assigned by management</p> </li></ul> <p>Education/Qualification</p> <ul> <li> <p>A high school education or equivalent preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Trade experience is preferred but not required</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of fire extinguishers or fire protection industry standards is preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Troubleshooting skills</p> </li><li> <p>Must have good interpersonal skills and be able to work both independently and in a team environment</p> </li><li> <p>Must have a clean driving record and reliable transportation to/from the office or job site</p> </li><li> <p>Must be flexible with scheduling, including occasional evenings, weekends, and out-of-town assignments</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of principles and practices of life safety</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of applicable codes and regulations and the ability to interpret, apply, and explain them</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to review documents for completeness and accuracy</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to maintain accurate records and reports</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to recognize and report deviations through inspection programs</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions</p> </li></ul> <p>Other Duties</p> <ul> <li> <p>Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy</p> </li><li> <p>Performs other duties as assigned</p> </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li> <p>Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach with arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and occasionally lift/move heavy objects</p> </li><li> <p>Requires physical abilities such as balancing, climbing, grasping, hearing, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, repetitive motion, speaking, and visual acuity</p> </li></ul> <p>Benefits and Perks:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Excellent pay</p> </li><li> <p>Medical, dental, vision</p> </li><li> <p>Company paid life insurance</p> </li><li> <p>Company paid short-term disability</p> </li><li> <p>401K with employer match</p> </li><li> <p>Paid vacation and company holidays</p> </li><li> <p>Training and Career Development</p> </li><li> <p>Company vehicle (if job applicable)</p> </li><li> <p>Immediate qualification for the ALL In Ownership Plan for all eligible full-time employees</p> </li></ul> <p>Pye-Barker Fire and Safety is an Equal Opportunity Employer</p>
