Visit Homewood Benefits for all the details.</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>Provides pastoral care with a holistic approach for all residents and oversees the chaplaincy program.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Models the organization's mission and core values. </li><li>Treats all information about residents, their condition, and family as confidential information. </li><li>Complies with established Corporate and Departmental policies and procedures and maintains established standards and practices. </li><li>Conducts and coordinates worship services. </li><li>Organizes and conducts Bible studies. </li><li>Provides prayers and devotions. </li><li>Provides on-going visitation with residents and coworkers, including hospital visits. </li><li>Provides support to Social Services and Therapeutic Recreation Director in meeting the emotional needs of the residents. </li><li>Prepares to minister with the chaplain and/or pastor at the funeral or memorial service for a resident. </li><li>Shares the comfort of Scriptures and prayer with residents, especially in times of personal need. </li><li>Performs other functions as directed by the supervisor. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Alignment with the organization's identity statements and core values. </li><li>Ordained minister. </li><li>Ability to listen to what the resident is feeling and saying. </li><li>Sensitivity to the varying needs of each resident in times of illness, pain and disability. </li><li>Empathy with those who are lonely or troubled. </li><li>Ability to serve as an advocate for residents, family members and co- workers. </li><li>Relational skills in working cooperatively and supportively as an interdisciplinary team member with other co-workers. </li><li>A minimum of five years of experience in either pastoral or chaplaincy responsibilities. </li><li>Ability to plan, organize, and effectively evaluate worship services and other religious activities. </li><li>Initiative and ability to create new, effective religious programs. </li><li>Clinical Pastoral Education training preferred. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <p>Work is primarily performed in a standard office environment. This role requires frequent use of a computer and other office equipment. This position is largely sedentary but may involve occasional walking and reaching. Must be able to use hands to operate computers and other tools. Visual requirements include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Minimal lifting may be required.</p>
