<p>Purpose:</p> <p>We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Food Service Leader to join our Patient Food Service team at a UPMC Montefiore known for excellence in patient care, innovation, and clinical quality. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the patient experience every day.</p> <p>The Patient Food Service Supervisor plays a key role in ensuring an exceptional patient meal experience-from menu selection to tray delivery. This position provides daily operational leadership, supports a high-performing team by leading and supporting the daily operations of the patient meal program, ensuring timely, accurate, and compassionate service. Skills to support this position include Flexibility to monitor workflow and staffing, adjusting assignments to meet patient volumes, and service needs. Collaborative to partner with clinical teams in support of specialized diets and patient-centered service. Innovative to contribute to process improvement initiatives that elevate the patient dining experience. Detail orientation to ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Conduct the orientation, training and coaching of new team members. Ensure routine competency checks are completed for all associates with appropriate follow-through. </li><li>Contribute to the relevant and timely performance feedback to associates through the performance review process. </li><li>Monitor food quantity and quality to ensure appropriate product is available for meal service according to menu and special requests. </li><li>Supervise services according to department standards and complete quality control and quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies. </li><li>Monitor all aspects of the department's food safety program routinely and take immediate and appropriate action to identified hazards. </li><li>Schedule personnel to meet operational needs and in accordance with volume and budgetary guidelines. </li><li>Monitor all aspects of the operation's sanitation program on a daily basis to ensure inspection readiness at all times. </li><li>Maintain inventory levels to ensure they are adequate to meet the needs of the operation. Oversee security of inventory and cash revenues. </li><li>Coach and discipline associates as appropriate and in accordance with Human Resource policies and procedures. </li><li>Conduct and document service recovery on all customer complaints as per operational guidelines. </li><li>Provide for direct supervision of hourly associates and their adherence to all UPMC policies and procedures and department standards and guidelines. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>HS Diploma/GED required 3 years relevant experience required </li><li>1 year relevant leadership experience required </li></ul> <p>Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:</p> <p>Allegheny County Health Dept or other certified food protection manager certification required within 6 months of hire.</p> <ul> <li>ANAB - National Accreditation Board OR Servsafe Certified </li><li>Act 34 </li></ul> <p>UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran</p>
