<p>Job Overview</p> <p>A System Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the IT infrastructure, including datacenter, virtualization, cloud computing, IT applications, and end user support. A System Administrator works closely with the IT manager and other IT staff to ensure the optimal performance, security, and availability of the IT systems and services. A System Administrator also provides technical guidance and troubleshooting to the end users on various IT issues and requests.</p> <p>Essential Duties & Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Management of IT infrastructure, including virtualized servers, storage, backup devices, hardware, and software applications. </li><li>Ensures computer equipment, hardware, and software are updated to meet the company's needs </li><li>Active member of the IT Team - assists in response to helpdesk tickets and ensures accurate and timely closer of requests. </li><li>Provides technical guidance to the end users on new IT systems, including new user hardware and set-up </li><li>Management of existing IT assets and provide inputs in the procurement of new IT-related assets </li><li>Work with users and global teams on business requirements for new technology implementations </li><li>IT Application Installation, Validation, Configuration and Support, ensure IT compliance </li><li>End user support for Corporate/Site Applications & Systems </li><li>Data Backup, Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity for Business applications and users </li><li>Document Management - Implement Policies and Procedures for Electronic Data and Computer System Operations, </li></ul> <p>maintain SOPs, GMP / Non-GMP and other Guidelines</p> <ul> <li>Extending IT Support to all External / Internal Audits / Visitors & Clients </li><li>Define and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices, working closely with management to help maintain FDA compliance on all IT infrastructure and applications as needed </li><li>Manage security solutions, including firewall, Switch configurations, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>5-10 years performing computer system administration, manufacturing environment preferred </li><li>A certificate in computer science or a related field, preferred CCNA & MCP </li><li>Demonstrated ability to learn and apply regulations related to the pharmaceutical industry computer systems, specifically: cGMP documentation requirements and regulatory agency requirements such as FDA 21 CFR Part 11 Strong interpersonal and communication skills. </li><li>Proficiency in Windows operating systems </li><li>A solid understanding of networking, cloud /distributed computing environment concepts </li><li>Must possess strong written and communication skills, organization and multitasking </li><li>Willingness to mentor, train, and share knowledge with peers. </li></ul>
