Employees in the classification receive limited supervision within a broad framework of policies and procedures.</p> <p>View Job Description</p> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • High School Diploma or GED equivalent; • Possession of a Child Development Associate Teacher Permit granted by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing is required; or be eligible to apply for said permit by meeting the following requirements: * Twelve (12) units of coursework in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, including core courses (child/human growth & development; child/family/community or child and family relations; and programs/curriculum) • One (1) year paid experience working with preschool-age children; • Pass a health screening to prove the physical fitness necessary to meet the physical requirements to perform assigned duties safely and effectively, including lifting fifty (50) pounds on an occasional basis and in excess of fifty (50) pounds with assistance; • Current immunizations for measles and pertussis, as required by Community Care Licensing; • Current Pediatric CPR/First Aid certification • Bilingual in Spanish and English, preferred. Participation in this plan is mandatory for employees working 35 plus hours a week. Employee will be a member of the State Teachers' Retirement System (STRS) and may elect to be a member of the Mendocino County Federation of School Employees Union.
