Ranked 37 among national universities, Boston College has 923 full-time and 1,336 FTE faculty, 2,822 non-faculty employees, an operating budget of $1.4 billion, and an endowment in excess of $3.9 billion.</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>The Liaison Librarian reports to the Head Librarian of the Theology and Ministry Library, and is responsible for the provision of research and instruction services at the Theology and Ministry Library and the Catholic Religious Archives (CRA). In addition, they select materials and maintain the overall quality and content of the Theology and Ministry Library collection.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>? Provides reference and research assistance in person, virtually, or over the phone.</p> <p>? Assists with staffing the CRA reading room, registering and providing an orientation to researchers, monitoring appropriate use and handling of archival materials, and providing other assistance as needed.</p> <p>? Designs and provides instruction in the effective use of library and archival resources for theological</p> <p>research.</p> <p>? Selects materials and maintains the Theology and Ministry Library collections.</p> <p>? Serves as a liaison with faculty to develop collections and to heighten awareness of research tools, resources, and digital technologies.</p> <p>? Supports and builds relationships with other Catholic institutes and academic programs on campus.</p> <p>? Creates and maintains guides to library and other online resources.</p> <p>? Works with the Head Librarian to evaluate and set goals and objectives for library services.</p> <p>? In consultation with the Head Librarian, establishes guidelines for maintaining the collection.</p> <p>? Serves on pertinent Libraries-wide committees and task forces.</p> <p>?
