<p>What to expect:</p> <p>Martin Marietta is seeking a Load Out Person to join our team. The ideal individual will be safety conscious, dependable, and motivated. This individual will be position is responsible for safely and efficiently loading and/or unloading railcars, rail yard switching, preparingandnbsp;rail-cars for loading and/or unloading and performing some track and equipment maintenance. The Load Out Person will also be cross trained to operate various types of heavy equipment. Hours are 7 am - 4 pm including weekends and overtime as necessary.</p> <p>A typical day for a(n) Load Out Person may include:</p> <ul> <li>Loading and/or unloading railcars in a safe and efficient manner </li><li>Ensuring all materials are loaded and/or unloaded and stockpiled to meet all quality control requirements </li><li>Shoveling, sweeping, picking up trash, painting and performing general cleanup of plant areas and locomotive operations </li><li>Performing daily preventative maintenance and routine maintenance on mobile and plant equipment under the guidance of designated personnel </li><li>Operating equipment and performs other tasks within rail operations </li><li>Performing daily pre/post-shift inspections on equipment and maintains maintenance log </li><li>Performing maintenance or repairs on all plant and mobile equipment including some welding </li><li>Participating in plant operations including production, quality control, loading and shipping </li><li>Maintaining good housekeeping in areas of responsibility </li><li>Aiding in the training of co-workers as needed </li><li>Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor </li></ul> <p>You may be a good fit if you:</p> <ul> <li>Possess a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience to perform the responsibilities associated with this position </li><li>Having experience in conveyor and/or mobile equipment maintenance is a plus </li></ul>
