The scope of supervisory responsibility is limited to direction, guidance & explanation, in addition to performing any or all of the tasks performed by the Aide II or Unit Associate. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Performs duties/responsibilities of the Aide II or Unit Associate for approximately 50-75% of shift • Assists the supervisor in assigning employees, distributing keys/supplies/equipment, and monitoring cleaning quality and procedures used • Primarily responsible for coordinating activities and production of CWN 5 ESD staff, interfacing with clinical staff and ESD supervisor to distribute workload and coordinate productivity. • Responsible for facilitating specific tasks such as patient transport, patient equipment/supply management (to defined par levels), deep-cleaning, moves/setups, etc. •Primary liaison for daily operational needs of CWN 5 nursing staff • Communicates clinical equipment and supply deficiencies to nurse manager or delegate • Communicates cleaning equipment and supply deficiencies to ESD supervisor • Operates mechanical equipment such as floor machines, auto scrubbers, burnishers & carpet extractors • Performs other similar or related duties that may be assigned or as necessary. • May be present in secure medication storage areas and are allowed incidental access to medications.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Must be able to read, write and perform simple arithmetic calculations at a level generally acquired through a high school education. Requires 6-12 months of related experience SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: Requires physical ability to transport patients, bend, stoop, reach & climb ladders. Must be able to lift in excess of 50lbs several times per shift. Must be able to perform repetitive motions in the process of dry mopping, wet mopping, vacuuming, and hand scrubbing. Must be able to operate & control high-powered equipment.
