<p>Position Summary</p> <p>Under the general supervision of a DON, this Nurse Clinician 3 manages the Minimum Data Set (MDS) process for an assigned caseload of members. The incumbent is an MDS subject matter expert, acts as a resource for staff, trains staff, and conducts in-services on the process for all healthcare team members. The MDS Coordinator oversees the development and distribution of reports; monitors the process for quality; oversees and assists with data retrieval for surveying agencies; assists with monitoring of staff; and ensures compliance with state, federal and VA requirements, and WDVA and Wisconsin Veterans Homes' policies and procedures. Based on operational need, the position may need to perform direct member care.</p> <p>Click to view a copy of the full Nurse Clinician 3 (MDS Coordinator) job description.</p> <p>Salary Information</p> <p>Starting salary is between $54.00 and $56.50 per hour, depending on candidate qualifications.</p> <p>Nurse Clinician 3 is in pay schedule-pay range 11-01.</p> <p>Pay will be set in accordance with the State of Wisconsin Compensation Plan in effect at the time of hire. Pay for current State employees may vary based on applicable provisions in the Compensation Plan.</p> <p>Job Details</p> <p>The MDS Coordinator works AM shift Monday through Friday and no weekends.</p> <p>Due to the nature of the position, WDVA will conduct a caregiver background check prior to an offer of employment.</p> <p>Employment in this position is contingent upon passing a pre-employment tuberculosis (TB) skin test.</p> <p>A 12-month probationary period may be required.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>The required credential is:</p> <ul> <li>a Wisconsin Registered Nurse license with unrestricted eligibility to work in a federally funded licensed nursing home </li></ul> <p>In addition to the license, required qualifications that will be reviewed in the first step of the process are experience:</p> <ul> <li>Performing Minimum Data Set (MDS) functions in a long-term care facility </li><li>Following the Patient-Driven Payment Model (PDPM) </li></ul> <p>In addition to the qualifications reviewed in the first step of the process, qualifications that will be reviewed in next steps are experience and/or education:</p> <ul> <li>Creating and maintaining plans of care * </li><li>Critical thinking * </li><li>Communicating in a professional setting * </li><li>Working in a team environment * </li><li>Restorative nursing care </li><li>Working with the special needs of veterans </li><li>Training staff on MDS process and procedure </li></ul> <p>Items marked with an asterisk (*) are required.</p> <p>Resident Assessment Coordinator Certification is strongly preferred.</p> <p>How To Apply</p> <p>You must apply online on WiscJobs.
