<p>Shift: 9AM-5PM</p> <p>Days Off: Saturday/Sunday</p> <ul> <li>Wage based on experience. Get paid when you need it - daily, weekly or biweekly! </li></ul> <p>Here's what you'll be responsible for:</p> <ul> <li>Serves as liaison between the Facility and the client; coordinates activities as they relate to client's needs prior to an event </li><li>Determines client's needs; explains services available through the Facility </li><li>Prepares, confirms, issues banquet event orders, and diagrams for all users, to include, but not limited to, food & beverage, room set up, electrical & A/V services, housekeeping, and security. </li><li>Coordinate group reservations and room blocks for events and input group rooming list into the Opera Property Management System. </li><li>Consults with exhibit managers, promoters, convention representatives, and others concerning physical set-up needs and requirements for contracted areas; prepares work orders and cost-estimates accordingly </li><li>Researches, reviews, and recommends equipment, materials, and supplies required in providing event services planning </li><li>Works with internal departments to coordinate all banquet and event logistics </li><li>Arranges for services such as security, production, audio visual, telephones, sound, and lighting; compiles information specific for each event </li></ul> <p>Requirements: A minimum of 3 years event planning experience or industry related experience preferred. Strong computer skills, and proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite required. Knowledge of Delphi event planning software related to catering and sales operations and Opera hotel management software preferred. Excellent phone etiquette, customer service and people skills relating to both internal and external guests. Must have strong organizational and multi-tasking skills. Must have the ability to communicate detailed information, both verbally and in writing, with persons of diverse backgrounds. Primarily indoor environment. Long periods of standing and walking throughout the facility. Ability to work nights and weekends. Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and occasionally lift up to 35 pounds.</p>
